Accepted to Cal, Rejected From?

Susu, I am always so ready to criticize Berkeley? Really? So why is it that I also zealously defend Berkeley from time to time? Why is that, if I am such a Berkeley hater? Go check out the thread "Berkeley vs. Stanford" where I am now defending Berkeley against a concentrated assault.

My position is clear - I defend Berkeley where I think Berkeley needs to be defended, and I criticize Berkeley where I think Berkeley needs to be criticized. Hence, I believe I am far more balanced than some other people on this board. If you want to get an honest answer about Berkeley, who would you rather get it from, somebody like me, or somebody who will never say a single bad thing about Berkeley in their life?

Furthermore, it's not my job to 'be nice'. Since when is 'being nice' a prerequisite of being on this board? Last time I checked, this was America, and I have freedom of speech. I have the right to say things however I want to say them. I don't have to check in with you or anybody else to see whether my posts are 'nice' enough.

I'll put it to you this way. If you can't handle my posts because they're not 'nice' enough, then how do you expect to be able to handle the competition that is necessary to get into Haas? Getting into Haas ain't no picnic and there are going to be a lot of opportunities for discouragement and demoralization. So if you can't handle some posts on CC, I'm afraid to tell you that you're going to have serious problems maintaining the psychological strength necessary to get into Haas.

You really want to know who I am, susu? I prefer not to put it up on this board. But my PM and email addresses are open.
