Accepted to College... Changing My Name?

<p>So for a while now, I've been trying to get my name changed legally, and I'll probably end up doing it over the summer after I graduate high school.</p>

<p>I have recently been admitted to a college and have already sent in my enrollment decision. However, they have me registered in their servers as my current name, which I wish to change. Is there any way I can get them to change my name in their servers as well? </p>

<p>You might be able to have them enter into their records a name (a given name, not a surname) that you prefer to be called.</p>

<p>After you have your name legally changed, it should be a straightforward administrative matter to give a copy of the court order to the registrar and have your records updated.</p>

<p>In either case, you need to contact the office of the registrar at the college you will be attending.</p>
