Environmental Design(architecture)

Need to visit heard nothing but good things. But pricey out of state.
From Orange County as well, heard school is 1/3 or 1/4 from Californian.

I definitely will. (: Thanks for the interest. I just hope that I can choose the classes that I sit in on. I'll update you after I attend. =D And thanks for the info about the group. I'll join and ask my questions. =DDD

Haha anytime! I don't think I'll make it to the accepted students day, but I DO want to visit and (at least) sit in on a class. I'm not sure what else Boulder allows you to do, though.

Anyway, have a great time!

Yeah, I'm going to be at Purdue for Accepted Students Day, so I'm just glad that I get to go to a Student-For-A-Day day. Haha.

okay so i got in...

BUT (and big but here)...

i applied into engineering, but on my internet admittance it says accepted inot the college of liberal arts and sciences....open option...

does that just mean that i didnt make the cut for the engineering school?

I'm so sad!

Accepted into Film Studies

Accepted Leeds School of Business
ACT-32
GPA-4.0 W

Accepted into Engineering.

ACT: Composite 30, Math 31, Science 32, Reading 30, English 26
didn't take SAT
SAT IIs: math IIC: 650, Literature: 680, Chemistry: 600
female, Catholic school, 3.59W,

Can anyone tell which is the best engineering program among the following schools please?

Bradley
Colo-Boulder
CSU
Purdue
UConn
Wisconsin-Madison
Indiana U-Bloomington
Mizzou-Honors

This is not a statement of fact, but I believe UW-Madison is probably the best, with CU-Boulder and Purdue in the next spots.

Thanks, AT9. Appreciate your input.

I definitely agree that UW-Madison is probably the best.

Just a random fact; I got into Boulder's school of engineering, but couldn't even get into UW-Madison's liberal arts school! Haha.

Stats:
ACT - 27
GPA - 3.85 UW

Many APs, but few exta-currics.

I’ve decided that I’m going to CU-Boulder! =D YAY.

accepted to the engineering school!

Fall stats…
GPA: 3.99
ACT: 33
SAT: 2090 (with writing)
Rank: 3/450
EC: Class co-pres, sports, orchestra

I ditched USC and Boston College bc i didnt get enough aid. Ive been trying to decide between UW, UO Clark Honors College, and Boulder.

Got invited to honors program, kitteridge (even though I dont think I’ll do the RAP)
Recieved the chancellors and the presidential (only reason why I can go to CU boulder now, otherwise would not have been affordable)

Anyone know why the engineering school orientation is SO LATE! its in august, and the college of arts and sciences orientations are all throughout june and july! what if all the classes are full?

@P0LKADOTTS: so, you got accepted to the engineering honors program? How hard it is to get into the engineering honors program? (I think they choose around 60-70 students each year to attend this program.)

Pnptruong,
Kitteridge isn’t the engineering honors program. I got into the engineering college, but I don’t know much about its honors program except that I thought it was for upperclassmen. Sorry!

The A+C orientations are broken up because its the biggest college. The August one is still the largest because its the one most OOS attend. And spaces in classes are reserved for all orientations so there is no disadvantage. August is actually better because you move in early.

Congrats on the Presidential, that is a significant achievement. You may want to reconsider the Kittredge RAP if you haven’t put in a housing application yet; otherwise you may be a bit far from campus.

Accepted at college of arts and sciences. I’m hoping to major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. :)

Stats-
ACT: 26
GPA: 3.8
EC: Cross Country, volunteer work

I also took AP Lang, AP Lit, AP Biology, and AP Studio Art.

Though, I am deferring for fall 2010. Need some time off to earn some money.

I decided not to attend UC-Boulder, primarily because they didn’t give me any financial aid aside from loans. Neither did Wisconsin-Madison, and I didn’t pick them either for that reason.

Hope a CCer on their waitlist gets my spot! GOOD LUCK!!

just got accepted as a junior transfer!! :D

HS GPA: ‘A’ average, from sweden
College GPA:ca. 3.5
SAT/ACT: none

3 recommendations, all were good :)

EC’s: very very good! like awesome even :stuck_out_tongue: hehe

Essays: pretty solid i think

other stuff: international student, talked quite a lot with my admissions counselor…

IMPORANT - dont know if this is a coincidence or not but:
in one of my emails to my counselor, i asked here if there was anything i could do to show the admissions committee how much CU-Boulder meant to me and that I just have fallen in love with the school etc.
She said there was nothing really I could do, but she would forward the questions to the admissions committee so that they would see how much CU-Boulder meant to me…
The next day, I got I got a status update, which said my app. was incomplete, I asked my counselor about it, and she informed me that I was accepted, they only needed my financial information :)

So basically, the day after she forwarded that to the admissions committee, I got in :)

maybe a tip to others! :)

Hey, I’m a readmit student returning this year. I had to leave for personal problems but will graduate within a year. If you have any questions, advice, tips, profs, etc. feel free to ask me or send me a msg and I’ll answer to the best of my ability.
