Accepted to FSU, but a D in AP Calc

I was just recently accepted to the Florida State University, and it has been my top choice ever since third grade. However, in harsh circumstances, my effort just wasn't enough to raise my grade in AP Calc to a C for the 1st Semester. I have gone to tutoring at least twice a week already. Thing is, I understand the material clearly, but I make a lot of silly mistakes on the tests. I know it is a likelihood that FSU will rescind my acceptance, but there should be a right to petition placement in the subject that you are struggling with. I thought of it, and I was thinking of retaking Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry for the whole freshman year as an academic obligation to that D. I am majoring in Chemistry, and i know the pace of the four-year curriculum completely, just FYI....
