Accepted to FSU Spring transfer! :) Now how can I get on campus housing? lol

Spring 2013 Undergraduate Housing Application / Future Residents / University Housing / FSU - University Housing

"Our Spring 2013 housing contract is closed as we current anticipate that we will have filled all available vacancies for this semester with current applications (approximately 250) on file for Spring 2013. This application had opened on September 19 and closed on October 28."

So I finally heard back from FSU and I'm "conditionally" accepted.

They just want to make sure I earn my AA, then I will be accepted.

Now I'm going to fsu alone, don't have many friends that are there ether.... I wanted to live on campus so It would be easy to make friend and just have a fun college experience.

What are my options?, I just want to be able to make friends pretty quickly so im not there alone lol.

1). off campus
2) fraternity house?(Is it possible?)

ANything I can do to possibly live on campus?
Also my only orientation date is 1/4/13.. Im assuming I cant pick classes till then?

Thanks!

You can’t. It’s pretty much as simple as that. They closed the application for a reason- they know how many spots they will have, and they don’t want people applying when they know that there’s no room. They can’t assign you a place to live on campus if there’s no room. That’s how it goes.

You should be looking at apartments and such off campus. If you’re not going to have a car, you’re going to want to either look at places along the FSU/Star Metro bus routes, or look at places close to the FSU campus. FSU’s got a great place to start looking: [Florida State University | Off Campus Housing Search](<a href=“FSU Off-Campus Housing Marketplace”>http://offcampushousing.fsu.edu/)

Considering that FSU closed the applications for on-campus housing for spring over a month ago, you should have seen this coming and been planning on finding a place off-campus for a while now.

For apartments:
I recommend Arbor Properties or Aspen Properties.

off campus is much better in just about every aspect, so don’t worry. just make sure you get a complex on a bus route

If anyone is still looking for housing, my daughter has an apartment for rent. It will be move in ready this week. We are very motivated (rent reductions, etc.) to get it rented out to a nice girl as the other roommates are her sorority sisters. Send me a private message if you are or you know someone who is interested.
