Accepted to LSE grad in IR--what are my chances to be employed, in the US, West Coast?

I have recently been accepted to LSE as a grad student in International Relations. I intend to return to the US, West Coast when the one year program is over. What are my job/career prospects in the US, particularly Los Angeles? I do not have an economics base and will be focused on foreign policy. Anyone know how LSE is viewed by American companies? Will my only prospects for work be in Washington DC. I prefer to work in the private sector as a policy adviser. Does it matter that LSE is a one year masters as most US government jobs requirements state that you need a two years masters? I am trying to make a decision on where to go. Any help would be wonderful!

I think you first have to think of what jobs there are for you in LA with an IR degree (from anywhere.) I think LSE is pretty solid, hiring companies will know it. I have no idea about 1v2 years for govt.
