Accepted to NYU, and not to Clive Davis?

<p>Hello Collegeconfidential!</p>

<p>I've decided upon NYU as my first choice school next year (unless I make Yale), and I'm very interested in the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. As the program has very few admits, though, is it possible for me to be denied to the Department but accepted to the University? Should I submit two applications? Is this possible?</p>

<p>Any help you guys could give would be very much appreciated.</p>
