Accepted to Oxford College; but not Emory?

I was denied from Undergraduate Emory College, but accepted to Oxford Undergraduate?
Can I attend?
I thought you had to be accepted to Emory College as like a base, then go to Oxford?
Is financial aid the same?

I'm confused.

financial aid is the same. you go to oxford the first 2 years than you can continue to emory for the last 2 years.

Financial aid is about the same +/- 1000k at most. And yes you can attend Oxford College of Emory, but it is only a 2 year school, and at the end of sophomore year you must transfer to the main campus, Emory in Atlanta. So Oxford is basically a “starter” school, it smaller and about 15 minutes from Atl.

Ah this is PERFECT! I’m actually so excited right now. I was so dejected when I was rejected from Emory and was too confused to get really pumped about Oxford.

Is anyone else here going? Are the academics at Oxford the same as Emory? This is all a lot to take in.

Yeah I’ve visited both Oxford is basically a “school” within the university where you go for two years and you graduate with an Associates degree and as long as you have a 2.0 you are automatically admitted to Emory College (and can apply to Goizueta or Woodruff). It’s a smaller environment more like 45 minutes away from main campus but they have a shuttle to take you back and forth if you want to go hang in ATL. It’s a pretty good option but I’ve heard that it’s harder because professors know you so well and expect more out of you.
