Accepted to Pace in NYC

Whos been accepted?!

Are the letters already out? If not, when?

I haven't mine yet. I applied Early Action and according to the girl I talked to on the phone, they haven't even reviewed my application yet.

I did, I also got a letter telling me that I've been awarded the Dean's scholarship.

got the letter yesterday

i got in for nyc. and a $7,000 scholarship.

I havent gotten any letters with the reply from them, do you think it can take more time to get the answer from them for ealy admission? I hope they recieved my application!

i think they do it by alphabetical order...my friend with the last name letter beginning with "P", hasn't recieved anything yet...I'm a "C".

I hope they do it with alphabetical order, i called there not long ago and she told me they havent reviewed it.
Is it hard to get into Pace? My grades arent that great, but i speak five european languages and study in a privet school, would it increase my chances???

Can you guys tell me a little about pace? Not too familiar.

theres two campuses one in westchester and one in NYC the NYC campus is located in the civic center part of new york which is basically downtown tremendously close to tribeca and wall street. the campus is actually just all one building right next to city hall park so your walking distance from mayor bloomberg. their best school is their business school, the lubin school of business.i think the current dean of the lubin school is the founder of toys r us/former president and coo of blockbuster. pace also has a very good coop program. ive heard that paces theatre/arts program is pretty good and inside the actors studio is shot on campus. they are also one of the venues for the tribeca film festival. i know pace is lacking in prestige however it makes up for it with its great location for business minded students who are looking for jobs a hop skip away on wall street when they graduate.

dver, i'm pretty sure you can get in. it's not a very, very competitive school. i got in with a 1010 on my SAT and a gpa of 3.3....my friend got in with a 980 on hers and a 2.9 GPA...you're fine.

Bijoux7, thank you very much! I am an international student and hope to be accepted very much. I just really am hoping they recieved my application because i did not apply online and i also did not exactly select the major i wanted to study, well i think i put undecided. But i really would like to study business now!
My personal statement sounds a bit dramatic aswell! But I speak many languages and live in three different countries so i hope they will accept me. I do also art and drama...
I took toefl exam but it went terribly because many in the exam were just talking so loud and i couldnt concentrate. I also will take SAT in late january and i applied for early decision! Do you think they will wait? Did you take the old sat (1600) or new one (2400)??? Im not good at maths at all!

wow AllenI, great synopsis of Pce. I'm actually into theater so it's great to hear that the program there is pretty good.

thanks heres a little wiki piece about their arts center with one of the biggest theaters in lower manhattan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Schimmel_Center_for_the_Arts

dver, i took the new SAT...my score was 1480/2400...it was pretty bad. i'm not a very good test taker. im not good at math either, i got a 450 on math...AND I'm ASIAN LOL. pace is not a very, very competitive school..do go into the school undecided..I think I did and I'm going to be a biology major. i'm pretty sure you'll get in though..what are your stats?

What do you mean stats??? Im not sure what it is! I study in Uk and i did graduate secondary school, i got 6 As (history, religious studies, art, french, german, russian) 2 Bs (Maths, English) and 3Cs (Sciences, Literature) , and i got drama and art certificate. Its a bit different system here. I took online SAT test for practice and got less than 50% lol. I will take SAT exam in late January, maybe thats why they didnt send their answer yet, no??????
I plan to study international studies like world trade or cultures, or business/marketing!!! What do you think?

for pace, you should send in your ACT or SAT or TOEFL scores to them...they usually send acceptances alphabetical order. i'm not sure for international students. you should go into the school undecided, you can choose your major later on. i wouldn't worry about it.

thanks! I hope to get in! My name is with "L" so i i guess they havent sent it yet.
