ugh me too =\

2230 SAT and 4.17 gpa here

Spring semester here as well.

4.2 UC GPA, 2110 SAT

Go sign up for FPF and everything will be fine.

What is FPF?

Can I appeal?

No, you can't appeal; you've been accepted into Cal.

Read the Spring Admit FAQ, the sticky.

actually you can, but it is not worth the time. Just do Fall Extension (FPF). It is a loophole program that lets you come Cal in Fall anyways

you guys should feel lucky that you guys got at least a spring admit!

anyone know how quickly the extension program fills up.. like will enrollment be closed by mid-april or sooner?

because if it fills fast, i need to hurry and make a decision about what school i want to go to

Such CRAP. I got spring.
No guaranteed housing? Forget that.

Hey, getting spring is better than a rejection (UC GPA 4.0, ACT 33)... Getting into Cal is better than getting rejected, right? ;)

FPF is great because the class sizes are smaller and all courses are equivalent to those on campus and transfer over in the spring. You still get to go to football games, rush for frats/sororities, and participate in campus events like fall admits. If you are OOS, another bonus is that the tuition for fall is a flat fee so you pay the same as in-state students. The one drawback is that there are limited spots in on-campus housing so if you are unlucky you might have to live in a private dorm or apartment. Sign up ASAP because there are only about 700 spots and they fill by mid-april.

Me, too. shrugs

i got accepted into spring but i dont care im a BEAR!!!

Got accepted Spring 2009 (I'm OOS). I'm a little...confused?? I thought I'd either get accepted Fall or get rejected--- never considered the fact that I might get accepted Spring.

@OP, you shouldn't be that mad that you got accepted, even if it was for spring. For your information, it is slightly easier to get into Berkeley with an 1500-1800 SAT and a 4.2+ GPA, than to get in with a 2100-2400 SAT and a 4.0-4.19 GPA. That's backed by statistics. Check it yourself. You should just be happy that you got in, because 45% of people with ur stats didn't.

i got accepted to spring, but not sure if i'm gonna attend.

Actually I think the Spring admit program is really cool and if you really, really wanted to go here, you should use this opportunity! There were quite a few suitemates of mine this year that were Spring admits and they signed up quick for the fall program -- they said it was great, smaller classes, more time to spend partaking of Cal Football (Go Bears!) and other cool activities and in Spring, they just melded into the main campus with already a pretty easy semester (and units!) under their belts.

Funny, I had expected with my crummy stats that if I had half a chance to get into Cal, I'd get into Spring, and was kind of hoping I would. I'm still not sure why admissions let me in Fall.

On dorms -- apply to theme housing -- there always seems to be room there, and if not, there's some other really good options, so don't sweat it!

Again, use the opportunity to get involved in campus activities -- we're moving into an election year, and I'm planning on taking minimum units next fall so I can help work on political campaigns and other on-campus political activities.

How many Spring admits are OOS would you say?
