Just wondering if there is a way to appeal for Fall matriculation. As an OOS student who applied for Fall but accepted to the Summer B term. I am extremely excited about my acceptance and I have heard nothing but great things about the summer experience. However, due to a summer job which will help to pay my school expenses, I am not sure I can do the Summer Term.
You will want to go here https://admissions.ufl.edu/staff and request that your term be changed to fall and explain why the change is needed. Be aware it may be after May 1st before you hear whether or not a change can be approved.
Go to summer B!! Do not think it is punishment as it is not. Many top students seek admission Summer B. Believe it or not, it puts the student ahead of the game. It will allow your student to acclimate to college class, study habits, exams, campus, etc and will put your student way ahead of the game in the fall. It is well worth it. You and your student will, in retrospect, be very happy that your student went Summer B. In any event, students who attend Florida state university (UF, FSU, UFS, UCF, FGC, UNF) (I am not sure if if it just Fla. residents or all students in the Florida state university system), a minimum of 9 credits is required over the summer (may also be done online) anyway.
