Accepted to the Crimson Edge Program?

I was accepted to the University of Alabama recently, but they admitted me into the Crimson Edge Program. Can anyone give me any more details on this and maybe help me understand why I was put in this? I did basic research on it but can’t find thorough and helpful answers so I was wondering if anyone here can help. Thanks.

GPA- 82.56 Weighted
SAT- 1430 superscored, Test 1- 430 reading, 480 math, 470 writing
Test 2- 460 Reading, 470 math, 490 writing (I know my scores are terrible)

Students whose test scores or GPA are low, but the school thinks can succeed, are admitted to the Crimson Edge program. So, congrats, you’re admitted. However, you will have to participate in this program which i think includes study hours, and some sessions on studying, note taking, etc…in order to help you become a better student.
