Hi,
I am currently a student at UCSD.
I received an acceptance letter from UC Berkeley in April but I realize that I would not be able to complete one of the Conditions of Admission which is to provide UC Reciprocity (In order to finish UC Reciprocity, I would have to take one writing course, two philosophy courses and three upper music courses).
I have sent my adviser several emails but I have not yet gotten any responses.
I called Berkeley admissions office and a lady told me that I should only contact the college adviser that I am assigned to.
But whenever I call my adviser, he has a voicemail that asks admitted students to send an email.
I know the best way to solve my problem is to directly call UC Berkeley but I can’t seem to.
Do any of you guys know whether I will be rescinded?
Thank you.
They seem strict on their admission offers.
That’s 6 courses. Wouldn’t berkeley have figured that out before they accepted you? Or did you withdraw for a whole term?
It depends if you said you would finish it or not.
Well, I was wondering the same thing. It seems that I will have to wait until tomorrow.
Hi, Thank you all for responding. It has been a long time since I logged into College Confidential.
Thankfully, my adviser changed from Mr. Quincy Jones to a lady and she responded very quickly to my emails.
I was given the chance(I am not yet sure if this is chance or another torture) to change the GE requirement portion from fulfilling UC Reciprocity to the Breadth Requirement. They also required me to send the appeal letter and take one writing course to satisfy the Breadth Requirement. I am enrolled in one of the writing courses so now I have to write an appeal letter. I am not sure how this is going to work out. I will post something when I get the decision.
Wait, I thought you were accepted. Why are you writing an appeal? And aren’t appeals long done already?
Actually I just received an email that my admission was cancelled… But thank you everyone
Oh, wow, I’m so sorry @InBadSituation . Will you reapply this fall?
