Accepted to UCF Fall 2020

My transcript was received by UCF on Saturday, Sept. 14, and I was notified of my admission decision today, Sept. 18.

My stats are:
(100 point scale)
98.96 UW GPA
100.16 W GPA
1410 SAT

Just waiting for scholarship announcement.

Congrats! Thats incredibly fast, when did you submit your application? UCF just received my transcripts so just a waiting game. 1350 SAT, 28 ACT, 4.2 W/3.6 UW. Are you applying to the honors college?

My application was submitted in mid-August, and my SAT scores were received in early-September.

My D has sent her application in to UCF and in her application status for Required Document Status is says they need “Your Transcript from” then it lists her High school - (which we have requested to be sent), and it lists Advanced Placement- what is a transcript for Advanced Placement? Did anyone else have this on their application status? I wouldn’t think they need her official AP Scores from College Board for an admissions decision. Anyone else see this on their applicaiton status or know what a Transcript for Advanced Placement is?

Congrats! My DD20 and I are flying in from PA and visiting there in about a week along with FSU. Nice to hear of the fast turn around for a decision.

@Mom2NND On the very top of the website with the few lines of information it discusses this.
**NOTE: AP, IB, AICE, and CLEP scores are required prior to enrollment but will not delay your admission decision

I got a bit anxious too before I read that but thankfully we have a bit more time to send those in (hopefully if admitted!). Hope this helps!

@voyagermom I’m also from PA and will be flying down next month to see the school!

Hi Everyone! Just got congrats email today. Applied on August 15th. Our status page read “awaiting transcript” “awaiting SAT”, etc. We trust no one so resent our transcript and SAT scores a week ago. Finally updated Friday. Accepted Monday!
UWGPA 8.42, WGPA 4.0 SAT 1460

Does anyone know when you get invited to apply for Honors or do you just request an application. When do we hear about scholarships?

Go Knights!

We had this too. We didn’t send it and were accepted.

Did anyone apply via the common app? I submitted it last Wed 9/18 and still can’t get my NID. I called and they said it takes a few days to update from common app. Just wondering if this has been an issue for anyone else.

@vannevka it takes a long time to update.

funfit: When you say “we had this too” what exactly is “It” referring to?

I had the same issue as well, I was worried for a few days and tried again and was given my NID. It might just take a few days to process. I applied via the Common App as well.

@Mom2NND we had the AP score waiting box. We did not send yet. We applied on the ucf application. Did not answer optional essays.

They don’t need your AP scores in order to admit. My D18 sent her scores in prior to Orientation and they told her to assume she had passed any taken senior year, since scores weren’t out. The final transcript, once they graduate needs to be sent, in our case, it kept saying they didn’t have it- in July, but that’s because UCF didn’t update until early August.

I think scholarship starts to come out in November- it will appear on their UCF portal, and maybe an email???

I got my “congratulations” today! Applied 8/17, all documents received 9/26, accepted 9/30. Now its time for FAFSA and Honors College application!

My son applied about four weeks ago but didn’t get his transcript sent in until about 10 days ago. He checked the portal today and he was accepted. The sooner the better for UCF rolling admissions. (This year and two years ago for my daughter prove that applying early is best.)

His stats: 4.3 Sus recalculated GPA, 30 ACT, 11 APs, Eagle Scout. Will apply to Honors. He’s waiting on USF, and the “big dog.”

Applied 2 weeks ago
Decision: Waiting
Term: Summer 2020
Core recalc. GPA: 3.83 W GPA: 4.2
ACT: 29.5
3 AP, 4 DE, All Honors
250 service hours

Submitted app via Common App on 9/18 and finally got NID on 9/24. When I checked the portal a week later, it had a congratulations message with Accept/Decline buttons. But no email or letter yet.

Term: Fall 2020; Core GPA 4.0; ACT 28; Unique ECs demonstrated deep passion in two areas; Essays showed very strong, unique interest in UCF/Rosen.

I know someone who will be a senior at UCF this year. Her stats were well below their averages. It took a couple months to receive notification of waitlist. 10 days later changed to accepted for Summer session when she had applied for Fall. She said that if your numbers are lower than average, they might let you in to start earlier so they don’t have to include your numbers in the official freshman class stats. So don’t be discouraged if your numbers are lower than you think they want.

Does anyone know how long it was between seeing the acceptance notice in the UCF portal and receiving an email or official letter through the USPS? D20 was accepted on portal but we’d love to see the official invitation since their portal lists a clear disclaimer that it’s unofficial.
