I got a D in ap statistics and I was accepted to UC Santa Cruz. I was still taking the class when I applied, so I didn't know I was going to get a D. This class isn't required at all for me. I met all my a-g requirements with a C or better.
So I was wondering if they would revoke my admissions based on this one D. I still maintained a 3.0 or better. Also my major is no where near math so I don't think it should matter much. Any advice or help greatly appreciated! thanks!

I do know that UCSC rescinds offers of admission, as I had a student this happened to. He ended up with 2.4 first semester senior year, made up all his courses, but was still rescinded for that GPA. All colleges will tell you that should you end up with a D in a course that you are supposed to advise them of it in advance of sending your final transcript. This would give you the opportunity to explain any extenuating circumstances, as well as editorializing a little bit (ie., I don’t need the class for what I plan to major in).

Good luck.

oh ok. thanks. I’ll see what I can do =P
