<p>I was accepted to the University of Florida's SSTP. :) I just wondered if anyone else has been accepted! </p>
<p>If so: What are you expecting? Are you excited? Are you scared? Are you crazy smart and will you make me feel dumb? XD What have you heard about it? Etc. </p>

<p>accepteddddd!!! I have no idea what to expect, as I haven’t heard too much about this program. Do you know anyone who has done the program before? And have you applied anywhere else or are you for sure going to SSTP this summer?</p>
<p>I have bugged the crap out of my chemistry teacher, so I pretty much know what to expect. 
I do know people who have gone before and have even heard stories about people I don’t know who have gone before.</p>
<p>Beside all the intense science research and the exposure to a vast number of scientific areas, SSTP-ers gain a lot of personal growth from the program. Living in the dorm, being free from parents, and taking care of yourself helps to create an entirely different person by the end of the summer. :)</p>
<p>I am for sure going to SSTP! And I really didn’t know/think about other programs so SSTP is my only option(no complaining)!</p>
<p>Congratulations guys! Do you know if they emailed all of the acceptances out already? When did you turn your application in?</p>
<p>A couple of my friends went there and they LOVED it.</p>
<p>They only sent acceptance letters to those people who had submitted their application before March 4th. (I sent my application at the end of February) I don’t think they have responded to the applications sent after March 4th yet.</p>

<p>I was afraid that I wouldn’t have good enough stats to get in. But I did, so here they are: </p>
<p>GPA: 4.0; 4.64
PSAT: 190
Rank: 3rd (#1 cheats D: )
Took: AP World. Taking: APUSH, AP Spanish, AP Psychology.
Not much prior scientific experiences. No national science projects, etc.
Various Leadership and volunteering experience. </p>
<p>And I spent a lot of time on my essays. Plus I had great teacher recommendations from great teachers. </p>
<p>So yeah. I’m not that great. 
But I got in. :)</p>

<p>I thought the first day to send in your application was March 4…or was the that the last day to submit your application?</p>
<p>Oh and did you receive an email/call or something saying that they received your application? Sorry for all of these questions!!</p>
<p>March 4th was the day they started to review the applications. They are still accepting applications until the program is full. </p>
<p>After you emailed them the sstp application (the one page PDF file that only ask your name and phone number) they send you an email. They contacted me to tell me I was missing something. </p>
<p>Any questions you have you can email them and they will respond quickly.</p>

<p>futuremed12, I didn’t receive any confirmation of my application, but I too submitted it before March 4th.</p>

<p>No! Yes, that is the email on the application but it doesn’t work. That is where I sent my app and they never got it! I believe I had to send to whatever the email is on the contact page of the website. Call them!</p>
<p>I called them and they received my materials…now I just have to wait for the decision!</p>
