You don't need SAT II's at all schools (and not at Vandy, at least not last year).

My situation is probably different from yours because I was accepted as a transfer. My scores were probably sufficient--33 ACT and 2280 SAT (770CR, 710M, 800W)--but my high school GPA was 3.33 unweighted (though with the hardest classes), I was in the top 33% of my class (seriously), and my only significant activity was 700 hours of community service (volunteering in the summer). I currently attend Smith, and my stats here are considerably better.

zooey:

Congrats on your transfer, but beware that Smith has plenty of grade inflation, so don't expect similar grades. Search out ticklemepink who transferred from Smith to Colgate -- she has posted of her grade decline at her new school.

Well...I had a 3.5 GPA (unweighted/weighted the same, we had no honors or AP), with a 29 ACT and an 1850 SAT (total, 1250 just M and V) and went to a community college. Was accepted as a sophomore transfer..

im really curious about this too. because as far as things go for me here will be my stats. from india btw. i will be applying nxt year.

2 AP: 5's (micro and calc ab)
Predicted IB: 38 atleast and prob a 40
ACT: 32
ECs: varsity swimming, I hold an internatial record
and then like over 250 hours Community service (habitat 4 humanity etc.)
i play alto and tenor sax

HOWEVER
my GPA is like a 3.14
and im in the middle 50% of my class- this is because very few (only 17 take the IB Diploma) and only about 5 people outside of the diploma take AP's

does this mean im screwed?

I am accepted as a transfer with very extremely low SAT.

Verbal : 530, Math : 800, Writing : 600
I guess it is because I have lived in korea for 10 years although I am an US citizen. Plus, my GPA supported it a lot. (4.2 HS/3.93 College)
