Accepted to your second choice

I was accepted into SU for the iSchool but I applied for Whitman. When's the first time you can transfer into your first choice? And if anyone has any information about the iSchool, please share...

I’m in the same EXACT position. Someone enlighten us!

I think you can double (dual enrollment)…call and find out…

I read about the dual enrollment, but I’m not sure if that means I can just declare dual enrollment in the iSchool and Whitman, and then change my major to accounting or another business major or if that just means I can take classes from Whitman and have to major in a major from the iSchool?

I applied to Newhouse but I got into Arts and Sciences. I’m going to dual enroll when I can. I think it’s after your first year and after a bunch of the core classes are done. Also, a few pre-requisites, I think.

elbie09: you cannot automatically dual into Newhouse; only school (I think) you cannot…that being said, the Newhouse transfer process within the school is very basic; highest frosh GPA’s on down until the class is filled…that’s it…

Oh, okay. Thanks for the information. (:

That means, if I go, I’ll work my behind off freshman year (I was planning on it anyway)!

remember everyone comes into college saying that kind of stuff “ill study very hard and do excellent in my classes” reality sets in when you procrastinate your work and studying bc your living alone with other kids your age and party it up on weekends. not saying you wont but as a freshman this year i know how reality is! lol but i believe you, just stating the general

I didn’t get in to my first or second choice. I applied for psychology in arts and sciences and ended up getting into the college of human ecology which I hadn’t put down as a choice. At least I got in though as I heard it is relatively easy to transfer into arts and sciences. Is anyone in a similar situation?
