Accepted Transfers?

hey i was accepted yesterday to wellesley as a transfer for the class of 2017! i can't be more excited since wellesley was my first choice and i was waitlisted last year even though i'm still waiting on brown i'm pretty sure that i'll be setting foot on wellesley this fall - any other accepted transfers out there? i couldn't find a discussion thread for wellesley transfers this year but feel free to post below to get the discussion going :)

Well I’m one right here! OMG so excited, but nervous at the same time.

congrats! I was accepted too! Waiting on my FA package, but I’ve heard that they are pretty generous. :)

Congrats to everyone else here who has been accepted! I was admitted too and received a very generous financial aid package; Wellesley is definitely one of my top choices! :)

is there a Facebook group or anything for transfer students? Also, does anyone know how many transfers there normally are?

i saw on wellesley’s common data page that there were 32 (if i remember correctly) transfers last year, but i think that’s both fall and spring! are you guys going? i’ve already deposited :)

@michelleeeeee I think I just might be joining you next fall! I’m waiting on one more FA package from another school, just to compare affordability, but I LOVE Wellesley, and am excited to put down my deposit to make it official!

I haven’t received my FA from Wellesley yet, but I’m assuming that it will be similar to Wesleyan’s–so that will be a tough pick.
Where are you all coming from? Anticipated majors? What other schools are you deciding between?
I’m from Kansas City and I’ll be majoring in Economics and Sociology, and it’s between here and Wes (and Brown if they let me off the waitlist :stuck_out_tongue: ). It’s great to meet you all!

It’s official! Just put down my deposit this evening!
I’m from a suburb in Los Angeles and will be majoring in Political Science and English. I’m beyond excited to be attending Wellesley in the fall!!!

i’m from vancouver canada and hope to be majoring in psychology and math
feel free to pm me if anyone wants to connect on facebook :)

Congratulations everyone!

I’m applying as a transfer next year. Would you guys mind posting your stats?

@TiredQuibbler‌ hi! i was waitlisted last year and here are some general stats:
i transferred from a top canadian university (canadian citizen) with a 90+ average
i had a 2250 on my sats and a 34 on my act
i applied as a psychology major and most of my extracurriculars were major-related
i don’t think i had a lot of leadership positions but i think i was generally well-rounded
if you’d like any more info feel free to pm me  hope that helps!
