Accepted Transfers

Those that were accepted are you going to Cornell?

I was accepted to ILR, but I am about 90% sure that I'll go to McIntire at UVA instead. Anybody thinks that I am making a huge mistake?

was also accepted to ILR. 110% sure i'll be attending, deposit has been sent in. There's no way in hell i'd pass up an opportunity like this for another school.

hum ec. deposit sent. ahh jus waiting to get over the finals. i hope i did okay, not so sure about one of them tho.... i hope it won't have any impact on my acceptance..

as long as you dont bomb any finals, you'll be ok. Have you gotten the 'bound for cornell' packet yet? It asks you to send in a final grade report.

ok this is something that i do not get. ILR has 37% acceptance rate to LS while the Cornell as the whole has 88%?

no, 37% of the total graduating class from ILR go to law school right after they graduate.

Accepted and will be there in the fall!

And neboola, if you feel like you're making the right decision, you probably are. Congrats on your acceptance anyway!

So...where's everyone thinking of living? I applied to Risley, Eco and the Transfer Center. Also...anyone thinking about doing any of the preorientation trips?

I'm hoping to get the transfer center, because everything else would be pretty bad since we're being placed into any openings for the other upperclassmens' dorms..

We won't find out till end of July.

when do we have to reply by?

and has anyone recieved their finaid packages yet? was it good?

I sure i want to go but it's contingent on how much fin aid i will recieve.

i applied to live in the transfer center as well.

Financial aid packages should be arriving shortly, but, i doubt i'll receive anything at all.

So...did you guys loose a bunch of credits, and are you doing anything to get them back? Like, I have a bunch of things that I think should have covered some of the core courses stuff....but the print out says they don't...

i'm not sure on the credit thing yet. I'll have to sit down with somebody at cornell and look over everything to see what will transfer and what wont.

I'm def. going as long as finaid goes through... All my redits transferred too ^_^

Is anyone (or anyone you know) accepted to engineering? It seems nobody here has heard anything at all from engineering.

I haven't heard anything from Engineering yet. I emailed them last week asking them to expedite the decision because of Dartmouth's encroaching response date, and still nothing. Good luck to all who have yet to hear, and congratulations to those who have already heard positive news.

I am starting to suspect this may be due to the vacancies in the engineering admissions office... or am I just looking too much into this?

Hey CNCL, perhaps you should call? I think at this point in time, its understandable that you'd want your decision ASAP. BUt I'm assuming your message hasn't disappeared?

Nope, it's still there, the only reason that really kept me from calling them is that I know pretty much for certain that they have my application as oppose to losing it (I was notified this while also being asked to submit some supplement just a while ago) and supposedly it's still currently under review. As much as I hate to say this, I guess a few more days (hopefully) wouldn't hurt, especially since I'm in no hurry unlike many others who are applying to multiple schools and need to reply to them their decisions.

You know Cornell was not very organized as far as my application went. They lost two of my hs transcripts, also did not call me on the interview day and could not explain as to why they didn't when I called them. Then they called me for an interview a week after I already had an interview with them. They also claimed that they never received my tax forms, so i had to fax those in and send them with confirmation mail. Now that might be just my experience, but I think you should call just to make sure they got all your info, including finaid papers. All the people that I talked to on the phone have been extremely nice and helpful so you should definitely call them up. Oh they also told me that they would have my decision by a certain day, but did not have it until a week later, but that is undestandable.

Good luck.

I am getting seriously tired of waiting for my CAS decision.... i emailed them last week about it and they said they would expedite it- yet still nothing. is anyone else still waiting?
