I've been accepted into UCI and its honor program as well as UCSD as a regular student. My major is Economics. The problem is that I can't decide which college to go to . I'm a total sucker for peer and parental influence. My mom wants me to go to UCI because of the privileges they offer, but my friends advise me to go to UCSD because it has a better name. I couldn't go to UCI's honor experience day because I had something important to do =/. I'll probably be going to UCSD's admit visit day though. I live in a city in the Los Angeles county, so both colleges are okay. And my parents can afford to pay for either, so it's not a problem....Yes, I know I'm very indecisive. To be honest, I was hoping to go to UCLA before I got rejected ._. .........and now my mother says I'm "destined" to go to UCI because she says I'm not as smart as my UCLA brother -.-

I’m having a similar problem like you! My major is Business instead of Economics (Business Info Mang. at UCI) and I was accepted to CHP. I didn’t apply to SD, but I’m waiting on Berkeley. Knowing me, I’ll have my own post about it later haha.

I’d suggest reading this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-irvine/881297-uci-chp-vs-ucsd.html

It’s very insightful and lists reasons why UCI CHP may be worth not going to another school (SD, LA, Cal, whatever it may be). I know the major there is different (Chemistry) but it still has good points.
