konstantinexx, you got excellent SAT and a lot of ECs. Will you actually go to UCSC? what other schools have you got in? My daughter got to both UCSC (Business) and Purdue (Management), we are having hard time to decide which one to go? (UC is in-state, PU is out-of-state).

MuggyHive Congrats! Just curious…what major?

parent111, first of all, congratulations on your daughter’s success! Nowadays, it’s pretty tough to get into any kind of college and getting into both Purdue and UCSC is very exciting.

Right now, I’m not exactly sure whether or not I’ll attend UCSC. I’ve received an acceptance letter from Loyola Marymount in LA as well. I’m going to visit UCSC during Spring Spotlight and visiting LMU during their Scholars Weekend. We’ll see where I like it best. I’m not even sure if I’ll be going to a four-year right now haha!

I think the way to choose where you want to be is to visit the schools while they’re in session. I swung by UCSC during the weekend and I felt it was misrepresented so I’m going to visit again. If you think that Purdue is a legitimate option, check it out. I’m not sure what to say about Purdue besides the fact that it’s in Indiana and they have a pretty good DI basketball team! Sounds like the location is pretty though.

I know that for UCSC, it’s a great school and the campus is extremely beautiful. The education at UCSC is good and it’ll be a worthwhile experience. From the sounds of it, UCSC seems like the cheaper option too. If you have the time, drive to Santa Cruz. The surrounding town is beautiful and a great place.

Once again, congratulations and good luck!

konstantinexx, thank you!!
I wish you great success in the future!
