S was deferred EA an just got his acceptance. I don't know what made him check his posts (no email came). For all those waiting...you should log on and check.

Congratulations. You might want to post this in Villanova’s thread.

Weird that he was accepted already after being deferred EA,usually 'Nova doesn’t post info until sometime in March…My D wqs deferred as well last year, and found out with RD applicants in March…congrats, and put your deposit in asap, as the earlier the better for housing…there were many triples this yrar for freshmen…

Congratulations! But has the love for Villanova dimmed with the deflation that came with the deferral?

Lima beans and Adonis…I’ll look for the official Villanova thread and post. I just went on myself to see what it said. It was just a big V in the right corner on his page and when you pushed that, it took you to a screen that said congratulations. I’m surprised that no email came to him notifying him to check, but yesterday the same thing happened with Virg. Tech. He just logged on and his acceptance was there.

Ellemenope…he was still very excited. But I don’t really think he has a clear cut 1st choice school. He’s been accepted yo UCONN, Penn State, VTech, UMIAMI and now Villanova. He’s still waiting on a few more and I think deciding is going to be tough. He’ll need input from us for sure!

Deferrals are very common, and not only at 'nova…Nobody should be ‘deflated’ by deferrals

Looks like it’s going to be a hand wringing month of April for the junior mom family. Lots of choices…

Congratulations on all the great choices. We just did a tour and info session at UMiami yesterday in the beautiful sunshine! DS really liked it! Your DS can’t go wrong with any of his choices, but if weather is a factor, you can’t beat South Florida (especially with the strong academics at UM)!

Note re post 7: I was speaking about the deflation of the love you might have felt for a school that didn’t automatically accept you.

Congrats. Villanova was overwhelmed with Early Action applications this year. I’m glad they are not making everyone wait until April.

My son and I had a great time at the candidate’s weekend yesterday. I imagine they will have another one in April - I strongly recommend going to it. Check out the Villanova section of this website for more discussion and info.
