<p>lol, he sent me a picture of his acceptance…it exactly matches my friend who appealed on the waitlist -.-, so I’m doubting it also ROFL. I’m gonna call UCSB tmr and get to the bottom of this “when do appeals come out”</p>

<p>@ mancini: is that really how it works? that’s kinda freakin’ stupid. why should you be rewarded for going to a horrible school and not doing well, when others have gone through much harder curriculum and succeeded? I’m only complaining because my school has 17 valedictorians this year–no B’s-- and about half of those had over 2100 SAT’s, plus killer subject test scores, and NO ONE got into Stanford, plus, the two people who applied to Caltech got rejected (or so I’m assuming, because I STILL have’nt heard from them, and I asked for a response over a month ago)… okay, now I’m just ranting. Sorry. But this kinda p.me.o. I just can’t believe how flawed this stupid system is…</p>

<p>Guys, from what i understand ucsb appeals have already come out, i got accepted off of the appeal as well a couple days ago, and yes i got the same message as Mentirosa. But definately call in and hear it from the actual admissions officers, not some kids on a college chat site</p>

<p>My daughter appealed to both ucsb and uci. Last week she received her acceptance to ucsb. Uci said they wouldn’t be sending out their decisions until late July or early Aug.</p>
<p>i’m glad to hear that ucsb has already accepted some appeals especially since last year they accepted 0! i really hope i hear something soon!</p>

and they hope their freshman appeal decisions are all done by end of this week or next week at latest :). So I’m keeping my hopes up -.-(Yes I called…go call them if you dont believe me :D)</p>
