:) we’re gonna visit UCSB long weekend ok :). how come u have an extra day to SIR -.-

I have a question:
How long did it take them to update the status thingy to appeal received? I sent it in on Wednesday, and they still have not received it. I live in L.A btw so I’m wondering what is taking so long. Oh and I’m a transfer.

Appeals are still being reviewed :). Me and OMG sent our appeals around the same time and they received it around april 10th which was 5 days b4 the deadline for freshie :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee, congrats :)

Now you’re too far to visit me D:

hey everyone!! : ) i got in on an appeal as well!! I wish luck to all who are still waiting!! : )

i have a question though, I have schedule changes from my senior year transcript e.g. classes I said i would take at a community college close to home, but was unable to do to community college crowding. Do you think they will resend my admission on that information? I said I would take Applied Calc I and Italian II but was unable to get both. So I took American Sign Language in place of the Italian, but still no Calculus. Do you think it will be okay? Thank you so much!!!
Positive thinking !! : )

Only way to know for sure is to contact them. I don’t think you should get rescinded for that though.

I have the same issue. I said I would take Financial Accounting 1 but didnt cuz the class was full. I did say I was taking 3 classes at CC and only got in 2 :(. I have to call UCSB I guess, I told UCSC this issue and they said it was fine. Hopefully UCSB say its ok too :)

goshhhhh! you guys have nooooo idea how jealous i am of you guys. happy fo r you guys though!! why the helll cant uci step their game up and send out their appeals decisions in such a timely manner as sb!!!1 ughhhhhhh!!!

lol I gave up on UCI appeal, I’m happy with my choice :).

ahhhhhhh man. well i didnt apply to sb and i probably should have. shoot me! what were some of your guys’ basis of appeals. what was your argument what were your stats if you dont mind?

Congratulations, I found out today that I was admitted too! Same major too, pre-math, maybe they were looking for more math students, who knows, anyway, feels great doesn’t it?!

hey man, pleased to have you aboard :)

check out / post in the meetup thread!

Thanks everyone for posting and holding positive thoughts. It seems UCSB has been generous and timely this year in processing the wait-listed and approved many appeals. My son has sired UCSC for comp. science, so hopefully it won’t be a difficult decision for him to defect to UCSB. Best wishes to all who are still waiting.

:D. Yay for all of us :D. I got major respect points for UCSB
and lost many for UCI -.-.

lol :P. Grats to every1 :D

what were some of your guys’ basis of appeals. what was your argument what were your stats if you dont mind?

y would it matter, if you didnt apply here iono y its relevant for u :(

Sorry if I sound rude -.-

no i appealed to uci. but there is no response yet

exactly…ucsb isnt uci and they both evaluate the appeals differently therefore theres no point in asking, especially since u didnt even apply to UCSB, so y r u on this thread?
