The other kid (not DHA) is already in college. And i hope that someone can end this futile argument.

ok. well, not very collegiate of him. nor should anybody have to resort to "you can't get a girlfriend" remarks. but still, glad this is over, DHA :/

eh. Its true though, he can't.

don't keep this argument alive for longer than it needs to be.

DHA, I think that you're a very smart person. From what I've seen on this board you have been more or less academically successful despite your financial situation, which you don't let handicap you. Thats great, that's commendable. But you can't be too savvy if you can't realize that to be a politician like you want to be, you have to be eloquent, diplomatic, and able to get along with others. Your posts on this board point to the contrary. HOWEVER (lol) I think you'll get into Harvard next week (gut feeling) and so hopefully you'll learn a lot about others and yourself while you're there.

i agree, film.

Biz, I read the book about Jennings, "A Hope in the Unseen."

Excellent and inspiring book -- I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Okay, DHA, but you could be the bigger person here and end the argument. I mean if you refuse to respond, then this kid will have no one to argue with.

Good job in distorting the role of the participants in this argument.

you guys are harvard applicants for god's sake.

I am not. I thought this was clearly stated on page two.

Anyone with a remote degree of intelligence would realize that DH is adding more to the argument by inserting petty remarks in the form of apologetics.

Case in point:

I actually do not care about what is said against me, though I am surprised that in this neck of the woods, the level of argumentation is so poor. If I am not mistaken, the entering class at Harvard usually comprises one or more chess masters; I expect more from the typical Harvard freshman and applicant who has a decent shot, but I have only been met with persistent cavilling coupled with petty ad hominem attacks.

Some of you may have dreams of attending Harvard, and it would be unbecoming of me to wish failure for you; once again, whatever decision you all receive, I hope you react to it maturely and reasonably.

Good Day:)

where's the OP?

nspeds, don't insult my intelligence, speaking of ad hominem attacks. you're carrying this too far. it's over now.

nspeds, looking foward to seeing your resume :D

This thread has proven that the SAT is worthless! All of you with high SAT scores (except for one poster) cannot follow simple directions and ANSWER THE F'in QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!! I admire those of you who stand for your beliefs and those of you who want to stop the "violence" and drama on this thread. However, guys...it was a simple question and only 1 post of 71 accomplished anything to the task presented....ridiculous.

Desertman...you are a bigger A...S...S than what JLO has in her rear end! As a newbie... I advise that you take your lowly attitude and horrid character elsewhere. It is obvious that your insipid character is well subpar to the caliber of anything dealing with Harvard...yess...more so than my SAT scores my friend (your only source of ammunition as of now). While I have amassed a reputation to post rather generously around CC, I have also gained a reputation (frokm what I have seen) as a very passionate and driven person...for Harvard...for anything. We will see what happens in the end....

I really want you to get into Harvard, apfreak.

What if you have a comparively low SAT, but a really high ACT? Like....a 1300 versus a 32?

That happened to me. I was sick when i took the old sat and got a 1350. But i got a 35 ACT.

If you take both, try to score high on both.

Thank's hotpiece101:)

A 32 is a 1420 so that is a really big difference.

Ah yes...we are back to the relative focus on this thread.

If you have a low gpa, SAT score is the only way to redeem yourself, in addition to AP exam scores, of course :)

I had to send both to the school (cuz that's what collegeboard does). But i hope they completely disregard my SAT score.

"If you have a low gpa, SAT score is the only way to redeem yourself, in addition to AP exam scores, of course "

^^^^ that is so me.
