Just found out today via e-mail. It said something about congratulations and join us for an overnight visit at AU. Either way super stoked!!! Good luck to all those still waiting!

I got the email yesterday as well so it looks like transfers are starting to get decisions sent to them also.

Congrats!!

Congrats! I was accepted to Kogod as a transfer as well! Do you know when is the deadline to give our response? I’m also applying to several Ivy’s and they will only give me a reply May 15th !!!

It said you have to submit a deposit within 4 weeks(!!) of receiving the acceptance. Considering the deposit is $400 or $600 if you’re doing housing, it puts us in a rather difficult position considering all my other decisions don’t come out until May 1st as well. What have other people done in this situation??

They also don’t notify us of any merit aid for a few more weeks so once we are notified of any merit aid we have all of a week to put a deposit down.

That completely sucks! Do you think they’ll extend that deadline? Need help people. Has anyone gone through the same?

I asked about this in the transfer chat and they said they can make extensions for certain reasons but to me this sounds like they sent decisions out early to force people to make deposits. Imagine how many people apply to both AU and GWU(decisions sent may 1st and later) and get stuck like this.

It’s all part of a damn strategy. Would you make the deposit even if you plan to attend other if accepted? I’ll see what financial package they offer… hope they make that exception with me

I applied to AU and GWU as well as three reaches under the assumption I’d get into AU/GWU. I wanted to visit both of them at the same time once being admitted to compare/contrast as It is really hard to tell which business program is better just from reading posts on here. Both have newer buildings, trading rooms, ranked roughly the same but you can’t really tell who has better recruiting/internships :/

AU is my backup. I have 7 on top of this one and all of those will let me know May 15 & Jun1!

what kind of gpas did you guys (transfers) have ? I was placed on hold pending spring grades :(

I got in as a transfer! For the record, I am transferring from a very prestigious small New England liberal arts college with a 3.58 GPA and high stats from high school.

I got accepted as a transfer being from a Community College in Houston. 3.65 GPA . President of Honor society, lots of extracurriculars

3.89 from a CC on the west coast.

I have a 2.13 GPA–It sucks, I know-- coming from the number one school in my country (outside the US). My application still isn’t complete. I was just wondering what your GPA is for you to get a pending status if you don’t mind. Thanks!

@ tfm991 the min gpa for transfers is 2.5, I had between a 2.5 and 3.0 gpa did you get a pending status too ?

@Peter27

Yup, I’m aware of the minimum GPA but I took a chance. A friend got into Fordham with a 2.8 and the min was a 3.0. Plus, I have a few hooks.

I still haven’t heard from them because I actually just recently sent in my other requirements… But I’ll definitely post my results here when I find out. Best of luck to you! :)
