To all who have been accepted:
Firstly, congratulations =)
Second, when did you apply? I got my application in around mid october and was wondering when I might hear back.

My daughter (who was accepted on 12/3), got her application in the first week of September.

My daughter submitted her application during the last week of August. She too was accepted on 12/3.

Do you think people are being admitted by application date or by majors?

I checked my son’s status today and they are requesting 1st semester grades. I called and they said 1st quarter would help (since our first semester doesn’t end until the 1st week in February, with grades a couple of weeks later) and they said ok. He has a 3.4 GPA and a 25 ACT so not a super strong candidate. it makes me nervous about the rest of his applications :-<

My son just got the same message. Is this common

I hope so! Thanks for chiming in- at least I know he’s not alone!

There was an 11th-hour issue with my son’s transcript (months after it was sent) and we found out on the day before the EA deadline. Apparently, a lot of other applicants had their submitted stuff “get a closer look” that last day. We emailed another (probably with first quarter grades) His current status says “all materials have been received and are being reviewed” so I’m assuming he made that EA cut? They seem pretty cool. If they ask at this point if they ask for 1st semester grades, is that akin to an EA deferral? Technically, they can’t submit a decision until after their sent and reviewed (mid January-ish). Txmom and Flipper, my son received a"small envelope" from a school that should have been a “sure thing” asking for mid year grades before a decision can be made (knocking him out of the EA pool) and it was distressing even though he’s in six other schools!

just heard.

Did anyone get this message under their MYCUBoulder application status thing before getting accepted?

“Your application has been reviewed. We need additional information before making a final decision.”

Yes, I have twins Both had that message. My son, who applied two weeks earlier than my daughter had his status changed to admitted. Still waiting on my daughter.

cgarf01: Yet another thing in common. I am a twin, an identical twin!

Whoo-hoo, Finally heard from UCB online this Am and saw son was accepted to Leeds! So excited (he got his first rejection yesterday but it was from such a Reach school he didn’t even count the application!) Colorado is his first choice, although he really loved Ft Collins too. He visited both but asked “to go again cause he wasn’t paying so much attention”
Super stoked, everyone on the CC board seems so nice…I can only assume their kids are as cool and welcoming! He applied 10/4 but transcript issues really scared us this past week or so as we were afraid he wouldn’t make EA

Way to go imanincolleggehelp! Congratulations to your son! If you guys have any questions about the school, housing, etc, ask away!

Interesting factoid about OOS at CU is its very easy to make friends, as the in-state kids are a little sick of each other and eager for new blood. D will graduate this week (time flies), has had a great time there.

Our daughter"s app was complete in the very beginning of November. She was accepted on 12/8.

I got accpeted! But can i check for merit aid anywhere online?

If you are an OOS student, you will only be notified about merit aid via a letter that comes in the mail. At least that is what they did last year.

How long after your application status changed to “under committee review” did you guys find out?

Thanks
