Hi, I just received an email from the Northeastern University Admissions Office telling me that my admissions decision was out, so I checked my account and saw that I was accepted. First of all, does anyone know why I got my decision at this time when it specifically says on everywhere I've checked that RD decisions are released April 1st? Don't get me wrong, I'm psyched to have gotten in... it's just a little weird and I was wondering if anyone could relate or possibly explain it. Could the fact that I'm legacy have contributed?

Secondly, I kind of expected to get a merit scholarship but didn't see anything relating to that or Financial aid, though it did say they are pleased to present me with a "tentative offer of financial assistance". Is there a chance that any merit scholarships/FA will be given to me later on?
