Accepted!

My son checked his portal a few minutes ago and was accepted to the College of Engineering! No more info yet.

Congrats to your S!!!

Great engineering program (and coop program).

My daughter checked last night and didn’t see anything. She’s at musical practice right now so she won’t have a chance to check until after noon.

Daughter was accepted to Biomedical Engineering!

Congrats to all accepted students.

Congrats to all! My D is on her way there now for a visit. She was told by a staff member on Tuesday that she is also accepted! I hope she has fun there this weekend!

My son just received the big packet in the mail - accepted to the Film Program! Does anyone know when they tell the Financial Aid/Scholarship information?

I apologize for slightly changing the topic, but I have a question. I applied through the CommonApp back in October and I don’t believe I ever made an RIT myPortal. Is this feature only available for people who applied through the website directly? I went to see how one can make an account; however, it only seems like it’s for people who are just beginning to apply (well, maybe next year’s applicants).

By the way, congratulations to all who have been accepted! I for one have received nothing, but junk mail for the past month and have anxiously been waiting for any college letters, especially RIT’s :)

caliskimmer, my daughter applied via CommonApp and received instructions to be able to log in to myPortal.

The big envelope arrived in central PA today. Perfect, since Monday is a holiday.

dlbarber, from last year’s accepted thread, it looks like the financial aid info should come in the next week or two.

This is quite odd then. I’ve been looking through my emails and it seems that I never received such an email. I’ll contact the admissions office then and see if I can any more information.

I just got in as well, to the computer science program! Very pleased

And as for the myPortal - I didn’t get a Common App e-mail as I setup a myPortal account before completing my Common App. If you did that, you may not get an e-mail, but you will still be able to login to the portal and see your decision.

@veritasiness

Thanks! I’m eager to find out, argh! I applied to Computer Science as well :)

@caliskimmer Best of luck! Who knows, maybe I’ll see you in the fall :D

(I don’t know for sure RIT is where I’m going, but it’s very possible)

@veritasiness Perhaps! Yeah, It’s near the top of my list, but there are others near there, so I’ll have to see where I go when the other letters come in.

EDIT: Well now, looks like they linked the account somehow and I got in! Yay!

Accepted into Game Design and Development! I’m visiting in March and am anxious to tour the facilities. A long way from home.

I got accepted  i am international and I was awarded a scholarship of $15,000 per year :)

Sent from my iPhone using CC

Got into the Motion Picture Sciences major. No word on money yet since I just checked portal.

I got my acceptance to the medical illustration program today, but I haven’t checked my mail in a few days. No word on anything else, yet.

Where is everyone finding out about scholarships? I got my letter today but no word on anything. I know I should be getting something so I’m a bit confused

Aessica - the only one I have heard of getting scholarship info already is the international student. Most likely those applying ED may have gotten the info already. We are also waiting, so hang in there - I would think in the next few weeks.

@Aessica I have the same issue as well. Like dlbarber said, the only person I have seen getting scholarship info was the international student. I was worried for a bit there because when everyone got their letters from Northeastern early action, the scholarship info was right on the acceptance letter (unfortunately, not on my letter :frowning: ). Glad I’m not the only one who saw this.
