Accepted

@SamSm22 I believe that scholarships, like acceptances, are distributed during rolling admissions. I know that during the fall I was told to apply by November 1 for priority scholarship consideration. It could just be that they have run out or have very limited scholarships left.

Scholarships are included on the acceptance letter and we continue to award merit scholarships to those who qualify. Please give our office a call at 203-582-8600 and ask to speak to a counselor. If you have any questions regarding this process, we’re happy to assist! Congratulations to all admitted students!

My son got his letter on friday! He was accepted into the Behavioral Neuroscience program and got an 18K per year merit scholarship. Praying we get more in Grants! My son is pretty excited for this school

@QUadmiss my son got accepted to AT with $20,500 scholarship. You just mentioned merit scholarships, is it included already or it will come later? Thanks

@MOCS16, I would check the acceptance letter, if the $20,500 is mentioned on the acceptance letter it is a merit (academic based) scholarship. We don’t send out any further merit based scholarships after the acceptance package is sent. Financial Aid is a different process however which is determined later through the use the FAFSA and CSS Profile.

Let me know if you other other questions.

oh thank you @QUadmiss . That’s what I thought, only you mentioned to something about merit award up there that’s why I asked. Thank you for your quick response though. Will we see you April 2 ? :slight_smile:

@mocs16, I see where there could be confusion in my previous response. To clarify, if admitted and you qualify for merit aid you will find out in your acceptance letter and not in a separate attachment. At this point we do not award more or less money based on your when your acceptance was rendered.

if you apply to nursing or OT do you get into - is honors program separate from those two programs?

im just confused… so you can be accepted to nursing w regular classes but also get accepted to nursing program in honors classes?

hi there… if my daughter applies early (august) because nursing and ot are so competitive… will she then not get a scholarship if she applies in august vs. november?

@Millie3grls

During the admissions process we make a decision for the academic program, after the student is admitted they may choose to apply to the honors program in January. There is a separate application process for the honors program and they notify their students in late March of a decision.

We don’t begin making admissions decisions until November, and we do prioritize the admissions decision process by the timing of application submission. However, the merit based scholarships are not prioritized in dollar value in any way by the timing of the application. If a student is admitted in November v. January there would be no difference if all admissions stats are equal.

Hope that clears things up. Let us know if you have other questions,

yes it does help!!! thank you!!!

@QUadmiss do nursing applications get reviewed by the time the application arrives as well?

@alyssasilvestri Applications to the nursing program will take longer to review before a decision is made. Let me know if you have other questions.
