Yay! Congratulations Dima! W&L is so awesome, I don't know how I'm going to decide between it and Dartmouth, Swarthmore or other schools if I get in to all.

Hey, Just got my Letter too. Took so bloody long because of the distance. Hehe. Was really really happy till I came across the financial aid package. Real bad aid. Hey, it's weird that you did not get the whole package together. I'll probably be appealing bout the aid thing.

Anyway, does anyone here know how many percent of the entire student body are international students?

And Dima, Congratz!!!!Class of 2009, here we come! hehe. Oh, btw: do you know what's the specific address for the bank draft when i sent the deposit? It wasn't given...weird...

I'm really annoyed that I didn't get the fin aid info with it, I think it was cause there was some unclear info about my mom's job, we got a call from the fin aid office on Wed., so I'll have to see, I don't want to send in my deposit until I see it so I can get a chance to call them and complain first if it's not enough.

I'm sort of confused about your question? I guess they just want us to send in a $500 check made out to Washington and Lee University with the form, no?
We send it to the Office of Admissions, the address is on top of the form.

Do you have AIM or MSN? I'd like to chat about the financial aid package they gave you. Plus, it would be nice to get to know someone I will be going to school with, especially at a school as small as W&L.

spkelly, I'm sorry your initial aid offer hasn't seemed to work out. International applicants have their work cut out for them if they need aid at American colleges.

Approximately one month left until we find out whether or not we're GWS finalists! I kind of have a really bad feeling about getting it, though, because I don't know how I'm ever going to be able to choose between W&L, Dartmouth, Swarthmore or Harvard. I think, however, that I know which of the two schools I really prefer (I listed them first, after all...) and I'll do what's right. Plus, at this time, the ball's not really in my court when it comes to H, D and S.

Yeap, i have MSN. But i doubt we'll be able to chat as my night is your day, and vice versa. Yup, about 12 or 13 hours difference. You can email me though at kel_splai@yahoo.co.uk

Dima, I guess my problem is about the same as yours. I NEED them to revised the financial aid package before i can fully commit myself to w&L.

Willywonka, nice nick! I used to love the book and movie...but it's been years since i last read the book. Anyway, yea, i really can't wait to find out about GWS. I wish the decision will come out earlier. hehe. Hopefully you'll decide to attend W&L as well, but it'll definitely be tough to turn down an offer from dartmouth. Great list you have there.

It'll be way cool if we all get the GWS! :)

But only 75 people get invited, let alone chosen for it! Ahh! That would be really cool, though. I hope your aid packages work out. For domestic accepted students, W&L met 99% of aid last year, so it looks hopeful for Dima.

The great thing about ED for you, spkelly, is that now that you're accepted, they have to do everything they can to make sure that you can attend.

Wow, that's great, Dima. For domestic students, though, I really wouldn't have worried about W&L financial aid. It's as close to being 100% as any school is.

I thought about it today for a few minutes, and I can't believe how much I want to be a GWS finalist, if not just for the chance to spend three more days in Lexington. Oh Lord!
