My tracker changed to “All of your required application materials have been received by the deadline. Thank you!” earlier yesterday. At 9:30pm a new thing came up in my communication center saying “NHS Admit-Fall”. My tracker didn’t change to the congratulations message until I checked this morning, but I guess it probably updated at midnight.
Rejected
SAT(New): 1360

ACT: 27

Really good upward trend (2.7 freshman year to a 3.9 this year), good EC’s and 3 good letters of Rec. Also sent an update email. We’ll see what happens!
Is there anybody whose status has not changed ?!
All of your required application materials have been received by the November 1st deadline. Thank you! Admission decisions are sent on a rolling basis beginning in October. All students who submit complete applications by the November 1st deadline will receive their admission decisions on this website by January 31st.
!!!
I was defer with “Carefully reviewed” comment in tracker yesterday. I kind of knew since only acceptance I observed was with “All material in” comment.
Did anyone got admitted after yesterday’s “carefully reviewed” comment?
Accepted last night (1/26)
GPA: 3.7

I was also a U.S. Senate Page which shows why my GPA was a little low (for my own personal preference at least), but also it’s an extremely competitive program. Good recs, lots of EC’s, etc.

@wifemomteacher how did you find out the scholarship. My status changed today to accepted. But I just can’t figure out where to look for any financial aid. When I log into application tracker it is single page with a yellow title “status of your application” which says I was accepted
Merit aid is always sent out via regular mail and separately from the acceptance package. Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery to get a potential heads up on any thick envelopes coming from UMN.
For DD tracker status just changed today to accepted. She applied like three weeks ago. Now need wait merit scholarship if any. I read UMN normally gives 10K for OOS student, is it stackable with NMF Gold Scholar Award scholarship ?
What school @netopspin ? My D applied 12/30.
@netospin the Gold tends to go to NM finalists who specify UMN as their first choice school. The National is reserved for OOS students with exceptional stats. Yes, they are stackable. The awards are pretty well correlated with admission to the honors program; however, it’s possible to get some merit aid even w/o honors for some of the colleges.
yikes deferred

@Winky1 CLA. @JBStillFlying thanks for the information. With defers from Ivies, possible 20k scholarships from UMN and the intended major ranked top 5 in the nation, UMN has moved up in her list.
My son was accepted in Nov with EA into CoE. We’re OOS and won’t get any FA; hopefully some merit.
Stats:
Gpa: 4.5/4.6 weighted 3.9/4.0 unweighted. 10 AP courses/honors. 5 AP tests completed with 5s
SAT :1560 (800 English; 760 Math)
ACT: 35
Top 5% of a class of 500
Ran XC on nationally ranked team, track and field, Eagle Scout and a few other ECs
He should be a NMF and indicating UMN as first choice.
Major: mechanical engineering
So far, no merit scholarships
He’s our first so I stumbled across this site recently and now we are scrambling to catch up on housing selection and other things.
@whaaa2022 - he should have received a notice for the Gold award. Has he contacted the UMN National Merit Liaison?
Also, good possibility for the OOS National (another $10,000). Hopefully a presidential scholarship as well.
Good luck to him!
