I applied by the Nov 1 deadline for food science as well and still haven’t heard back. My tracker still says “all required application materials have been received by the deadline.”
Oh Minnesota, every day feels like the “Groundhog Day” movie. Wake up, check the tracker, nothing, go to bed, wake up, check the tracker, nothing, go to bed, etc…at least the light is at the end of the tunnel with the 31st only a few weeks away! OOS Top 10% rank, 34 ACT still waiting on CSOM.

My D’s portal says now for the first time that her application is complete. She applied 12/30 to CBS. Late applicant. Any info about chances for late applicants?
Daughter NOT accepted to Freshman Nursing Program, but they offered acceptance to College of Education and Human Development today 1/12 (during the day sometime, NOT at 12:01am-I checked).

Great letters of recommendation, and varsity captain of sports team.

In state, both parents are alumni.

@ilovecats2017 - was your daughter not accepted to CLA either? With her stats that’s surprising! Or was CEHD her 2nd choice if she didn’t get into nursing?
She didn’t put a second choice, because she feels strongly that she wants to be a nurse. She will likely attend Eau Claire (for nursing) instead, even though she loves everything about the U of M.
I have been thinking that maybe what was meant to be happened. Although the U is a top notch school, it is extremely competitive. I think that if most of the nursing students have higher stats, she might feel like the kid who doesn’t fit in. May be better to be where she gets a good education in the field she wants, and is able to breathe a bit.
