i think they may hydrate it for you in a later mailing (i think accepted students program).

after all, what they are saying is that you are just dirt right now... you haven't become mudd yet.

I agree that Mudd's folder is way cool! Thanks for the additional explanation!

Son, too, got accepted with the $10,000/year (he met all the prerequisites).

SAT I - 2380 (one time sitting in January of 2006)
SAT II - 800, 800 (Math II & Physics)

Rank - 5/350

EC's were mostly music/band related.

Next week will be an exciting time, since he'll have such great schools from which to choose!

Congrats to those of you were accepted! For the rest of you - all the best to you, wherever you end up!

is the 10000 scholarship automatic if requirements are met? im pretty sure i met the requirements but I didn't get the scholarship in my acceptance folder.

still happy to be in though.

I got in w/ the Harvey Mudd $10k scholarship.

I don't really plan on attending though, because thats still another $38k I have to somehow pay.

Quick question; if attending Harvey Mudd, can one join the mock trial team at CMC?

Accepted.

got rejected today. my stats just weren't high enough. would have LOVED too go to Mudd. congratulations to everyone who got in.

Just received a "YES" but no financial aid package as yet.

Accepted.

SAT: V 800 M 800 W 740
GPA: 3.87
Rank: 25/600
11 APs in high school, all 5s on AP tests

Lots of ECs (3 Varsity sports, Math Club, lots of community service, etc.) though not necessarily a ton of depth; it was a "jack of all trades master of none" type deal.

I wrote some **in' essays. Too bad my essays for other apps weren't so **in'...

I'm quite happy I got in and with a little aid, will hopefully get to go.

Haha, it blocked out my swearing. Here's a hint: the word referred to a female dog.

jeez, everyone here has ridiculous SAT scores.

Waitlisted.

2220 SAT, 3.84 UW I think, don't know weighted,
790 M 710 CR, 720 W
800 Chem 790 M-II 770 Bio-M

Is there a high expected yield this year? I thought I remembered hearing that somewhere. Perhaps its just unpredictable?

Its nice to have another (potential) shot, but its kinda like being a dog with meat suspended from the ceiling in front of you. (heh. dog, mutt...) Its nice seeing I have a chance, but if there is no real chance, its really :(. I'm at the mercy of the acceptees. At least being waitlisted beats no chance though.

I will be part of Mudd maybe!

Accepted w/scholarship.

2360 SAT: 800CR, 770M, 790W
SAT II's: Math I 790, Math II 800, Physics 750.
3.9 GPA

Got rejected from Princeton and Harvard though. :(

Some of these people who were rejected/waitlisted had stats that would have qualified them for the scholarship! You must have bad essays to get rejected in that case... (no offense meant, but you'd think with stats they'd pay you for, they'd accept you at least!)

You are wrong, sishu7. It doesn't have to be the essay that was "bad," it could have been several other things such as grades or extracurriculars. However, it might not have been that anything was "bad" at all. An applicant could have the required SAT scores, be in the top 10%, have good ECs and grades and still get waitlisted/rejected. Mudd is an extremely selective school. USNWR ranked it tied for first for most selective LAC in the country.

"You are wrong, sishu7"

I don't know if sishu is completely wrong. Some people have amazing stats but are robots. Ever tried to work with a robot? in + programming = out.
