Wow, that totally sucks that your school limits your apps to 7. Is that allowed?? Can't you raise a complaint about that?

ivybound, I don't know what you are interested in, or what your stats are, but I think everyone should take a look at the University of Chicago, in case it strikes your fancy. It is pretty unique!

Hah, since this is a random thread...

Can frosh bring cars to campus? What's the cost? I know it is probably not recommended.

wow just 7 schools - i would transfer to another high school immediately:P
yea - Olin is 4 years old. and they rejected me - dunno if that means that its amazingly hard to get in - for Candidates Weekend they invite just 150 students and they choose 75 which make final class

FOR EVERYONE APPLYING TO NYU:

because my school (private) has close ties to NYU, everyone that has applied has gotten in (for the most part), and around 3 kids go from each graduating class. this year so far 5 kids have gotten rejected because of the almost 30% increase in applications due to popularity among celebrities. i suggest everyone applying there realize that this definetely should not be a safety! because my friend got rejected with a 1260 URM with good grades which was EXTREMELY unlikely due to the status of my school, and all of the other kids, my college counselor called and the UGA said there were so many apps they couldn't even look at the applications of kids who had below a 1350. so heads up.

damn is that trustable?
seems spurious to me

no i made it all up.
and i'm actually a pathological liar.

sorry i tried to help, just a heads up for all of you guys depending on NYU as a safety school.

CMB...how do we know that you aren't lying about being a pathological liar? hehe

At any rate, CMB is correct. NYU is not a safety. No school ranked among the top 50 can be considered a true safety for most applicants...unless the applicant in question is very strong, the school in question is a state university and the applicant is an in-stater. Even then, at schools like UVA, Cal and Michigan, there are no guarantees for very strong in-state applicants.

Cmon guys this is supposed to be a random post!!!!!! Boost your post count here !!!!

lol seriously its okay if you list your colleges , dont list your acceptances please, makes me feel bad :(
