did anybody else get an acceptance yet?

they still haven't gotten my midyear report yet..i live in southern california and its been over a week. Should i be worried?

Hi~They accept faxes...I would just fax it to be sure. We had a little problem with this too...

How do you know they didn't receive your mid year grades? Is there a link to check on the status of your application?

lowermorelandmom - yes there is, you should have gotten an email from syracuse that contained a link where you can check your status. When you click on it, it sends you to a page where you enter your birthdate to log in. When i log in, it still says i'm missing my midyear grades =(

Can someone post the link to check on the application status? Thanks!

http://admissions.syr.edu/rd/mmug.html You have to enter your access orange code. It is the nine digit, numerical code that was sent with the admissions acknowledgement. My application status has been listed as "Your application is complete", for months. I did not send in my mid-year grades- only first quarter grades.

do reg decision applicants hear by email as well, and when do you expect the majority of the candidates to hear

i found about two weeks ago....but maybe they told me early besause im an international applicant.

I think the only reason my son heard was because he was getting a response to a scholarship they had asked him to participate in. He hasn't gotten the "official" word from Admissions just the letter from the scholarship app. We were told it would arrive in mid March. I wouldn't be concerned at this point. We didn't receive anything via email..

i live in nj and my friend and i both got accepted to SU. I got accepted into Whitman school of management and got a 8000 scholarship and she got into the arts and sciences. here's my stats if anyone cares: 1150 SATs. 6 math classes including Algebra I and II, geometry, trig, precalc, calc. 4 english and lit classes. 4 lab science classes. only 3 foreign language classes. 4 history classes. and i've only taken 8 A.P. and honors classes all together. i'm ranked 20 out of 240, have a 4.0 GPA, a 96 GPA for midquarters, and my nj school is ranked in the top 15 in the state. i have a lot of extracurriculars and awards. im in my schools national honor society. i look at everyone elses stats and i honestly dont know how i got in. maybe it has to do with my GPA and xtracurricular or maybe even the essay. i had a really amazing essay and i had really awesome teacher recs. My friend on the other hand had an SAT score that was 100 points more than me but she's ranked 50 in the class, hasn't taken as much classes as i have, not in a lot of extracurricular but she still got in. i'm thinking it has something to do with the school you apply to but other than that Syracuse's admission standards are really all over the place. anyways good luck to everyone else who still hasnt heard.

i live in southern california and i got my package two days ago.

stats are as follows:
GPA: 4.2 W, 3.69UW
SAT1: 1470
SAT2: 720 math2c, 750 writing, 730 literature
EC: yearbook eic, mun, newsletter, class council, etc etc.

FINALLY got my acceptance package today after a stressful month-long wait!!!

3.2 GPA at competitive southeast VA private school
1320 SAT - 760 Verbal, 560 Math
5 APs (11th grade - Environmental Science, English Language/Comp.; 12 grade - US Government, English Literature/Comp., Spanish)

Lots of extracurriculars, EXTREMELY involved in theatre, music, and dance
Quite a few music/theatre awards and recognitions
...and I'm guessing my essays helped quite a bit, as writing is one of my biggest strengths

etc. etc... and though I like to think that I got solely on my own merits, I realize that it couldn't have hurt me that I'm a legacy (mom graduated '79)

Anyway, congratulations everyone!

congrats bluedevil, did ure scholarship come w/ the decisions notification?
the only thing that would make me lean towards syr would be the scholarship, as I have other schools such as Penn State, U of Mich, Emory, and Fordham to consider

D received acceptance dated 3/21 and then scholarship letter three days later. She received a $8,000 Chancellor's Scholarship and a $4,000 University Scholarship. Don't have need based info yet and haven't heard about Honors.

starbury- i got my scholarships 1 week later. Im considering penn st also since there business school is ranked a lot higher than syr but i dont really trust rankings that much. which would you consider to be the better business school?

im also strongly considering penn state for two reasons - i honestly think smeal school of business is better than whitman, and ill be saving at least 15 g a yr
thats y my decision is leaning on the scholarship for syracuse
Syracuse is however a private school and looking at their profile at the Whitman site, seems like undergrads get good decent job offers within 3 yrs of graduation
Oh yea and Syracuse is a great college sports town (ex: basketball)
LOL - cant beat that

get decent; 3 months lol, sry cant type
