It says decision under status, then if you scroll down iit says: congratulations yo u have been accepted blah blah blah

Congrats to the future class of Buckeyes!

Damn... Still no decision on me yet, my thing switched into "evaluation" mode on November 14th, did anyone who had a later date here back yet?

I'm so nervous... Ohio State has been my dream school for 10 years.

I am way below the school's standards... I have a 1070 (M/V) and a 3.4 GPA, but then again, I got into Indiana which I didn't think I would get admitted too.

I just need to have some faith!

DD made in!!! DS said someone from OSU called and said will call back later. DD was at a piano recital.

Has any one else got a call? Is a call good or bad?

For reference : application received 10-21,
GPA 4.0 UW, 4.6ish W;
NMSF,
34 ACT (35 superscore),
SAT II: Physics 800, Math IIC 800, USH 750, Bio 750
Key club president
etc.

I'm sure it's good. Maybe about maximus? =)

I'm hoping some official papers come this week in the mail about honors/scholarships/etc.

I just want to freaking get in

Seems like the rough timeline is 6 weeks after your application was "completed."

I’m In!. Application went to “Evaluation” on 10/24 and found out today

Out of State (NJ)
GPA - 3.5 UW
Rank – Top 15%
Honors / AP – By the end of my Junior Year I had taken 10 Honors courses along with AP Physics (got a 4 on the test). My senior Schedule includes Honors English, AP World History, AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Calculus
EC – The run of the mill stuff like most everyone –
SAT = 1340/1600 and 1970/2400.
SAT II – Math II (720), Physics (710), Chemistry (710)
ACT = Composite of 31 (32 if they super score) on two separate tests with highs of 35 on the Science section and 33 on the Math Section. Lowest score was a 29 on the English section.

I just checked and the status had changed to decision. My application was complete on 11/14. So 19 days to decide.

In State
GPA: 3.8
Rank: Don't know
Classes: 5 APs and lot of Honors
SAT: 1490/1600 and 2150/2400
ACT: 33 first time I took it. 36 second time. Both composite.

"I just want to freaking get in"

It seems as though the first round of acceptances are going to people with 30+ ACT scores. For anyone on the fence, I'd expect a little bit of a wait as admissions gauges the overall quality of the applicant pool before making a decision.

OTOH, no decision means that you're still in the running. I'd guess that they're also sending out a large number of the easy decision rejections along with the easy decision acceptances.

sh60614, thanks for the words of encouragement

I'm not really sure about your statement though, so far on this board, we haven't heard of one person being rejected yet.

Hurray - something nice for my exhausted daughter!

She submitted her OSU application on Wednesday November 14; it went to "evaluation" on November 16.

Sometime during the afternoon today (December 3) her status switched to status = "Decision" with a nice little Congratulations message.

Nice and quick. You have to love online applications!

In state with ACT 33, major leadership in two extracurriculars, award winning musician, many AP and honors classes at a challenging high school, mostly A's at a school that does not rank. This is her first "acceptance" and there will be happiness in the air at our house when she hears about this. Ohio State has a great program in her anticipated major so OSU is a serious possibility for her, not just a safety school. "O H"

Accepted with a 1240 SAT/ 3.7 GPA OOS

Considering MidwestMom's news, it seems like the first round of decisions consisted of taking all the high test scores, putting them in a group together, and sending out acceptance letters, just as sh60614 suggested. Not that her daughter isn't qualified, but such a quick turnaround just seems unbelievable that they actually looked at all the apps in so far considering my friend has had his application in "evaluation" since the end of October.

This is my 1st post. I've been lurking for a while. My daughter received a phone call this evening telling her she was accepted to OSU. Her application was submitted on 11/27, it went to Evaluation on 11/29 and she was accepted today. That was really fast. She has a 3.63 average at a private school that does not rank, has taken all honors and AP's available. Her ACT was 31.

Yeah, it must be a test score thing. That's a ridiculously fast decision.

yeah i got in. status box reads decision. lets see what merit $ they give me and lets see about EAP
beach... 36 act and OSU. haha talk about safety. i totally understand tho. looking for that free ride.

MidwestMom: "I O". :)

Congratulations everyone who has gotten good news. Last year we were where you are.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting...
