Is Pomona everyone's 1st choice? I've been sorta undecided for awhile, but i think I can finally say that Pomona is officially my 1st choice! Hope i'm not setting myself up for disappointment...

Great essays (I had a few English majors review them for me) and great recs
Big list of EC's with leadership
Parents never went to college
I live in the Midwest (Chi'burbs)

Got in - just found out today! What a surprise, since I am a junior leaving high school a year early. So happy!

Doing the happy dance in Texas, too! I LOVE priority mail. Being rural can sometimes be excruciating.

Congrats PoLarbeAr, ookatneyoo, mdf918, David, Texastaximom, all!

My son is doing the happy dance here, too! I can't believe the word is out already!

yes! its a fat one!

an acceptance and a 28k grant... its like christmas. except without the annoying carols and having to go to church.

mcoledb8, imagine getting the admission's package and a sweet deal on financial aid BEFORE christmas. THAT was the ultimate gift. =) congrats.

Congratulations to everyone who's received happy news so far! D received her packet yesterday letting her know that the final decisions had been made (like ballergirl, she was accepted ED1). With more than 5,000 applications, you all should be commended.

One tip to parents: if you're planning on going to orientation in August, make your reservations now for hotels. We stayed at the Sheraton Fairplex Suites when we visited Pomona and were very happy with the accommodations there, so we'll go there in August. Plus, there is a Pomona discount available if you ask--non-club floor suites are $96 (before tax).
