<p>Considering you already have OChem and Calc II out of the way, I think that shows something. I take it you didn't take the SATs? The ACT is a really crappy test in my opinion that favor people with good CR skills. Anyways, congratulations...</p>
<p>Thank you, you have just given me so much hope. I also have a high GPA and a similar ACT score. I was looking on this site and I see all kinds of people questioning whether or not they will get in with scores like a 33 ACT and 4.0 GPA, and I was getting fairly discouraged.</p>
<p>haha, I was too. but me and others from other schools have gotten in with same stats or lower...</p>
<p>I took the SATs and did poorly...1700 total.</p>
<p>took the ACT 3 TIMES....22 the first...24 the second and 35 the 3rd and didnt try again. I am just not a good standarized test taker & if you have acceled and tried your best in academics, dont worry. & if you dont get in...there are tooooooons of schools that can take you to the same place, so DONT get discouraged!</p>

I'm guessing those scores are for OOS; the IS-OOS requirements for Michigan are drastically different, with OOS standards much higher.</p>
<p>Kid at my school got in with a 22 or 23; he's going for business. He had no extracurriculars until senior year, and his GPA was about a 3.9. Apparently it helps if you email your admissions counselor everyday;-) Or so he says, haha!</p>

i'm oos (indiana) and a lot of kids from my school get into michigan, but i'm getting nervous. i know some kids with 3.4 gpas, 28 acts, and easy class schedules get in from my high school.
how do u think ill do and when i'll hear back (materials received dec 3)?

<p>To be honest, I'd guess you might get deferred...not to worry you, but the people OOS at this point who are hearing back seem to only be getting in with 32+ ACTs; there have been lots of people with 27-31s who are deferred.</p>
<p>Being a minority doesn't help, Michigan abolished Affirmative Action from admissions practices this year.</p>
