Accepted

they're sending them in waves

Got an e-mail two days ago: Accepted.

bah. still waiting in Northern VA. Hopefully tomorrow.

Congrats to all of you who got in :)

got my acceptance in mail today
$27000 Presidential
Honors at Arts and Sciences

Just got the packet. Needless to say, I'm kind of dissappointed. I've already submitted my housing deposit to Tulane but would have reconsidered if American gave me signicantly more money. While Tulane's giving me 24,000 a year, American offered 6,000 a year with a 3,000 dollar loan. So I basically got 6,000 dollars. So.. no AU for me and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Congrats to all and good luck to those of you who will attend!

accepted plus 20K a year

why havent i heard yet?? i just called the AU admissions office and they told me they were not sending emails to everyone and that they cant tell me my decision via the phone :(

I'm so frustrated. Should I assume I've been rejected?

CollegeHopefulx- I didn't get an email and I got in honors, so getting an email isn't any sort of sign to what kind of applicant you are or wether you'll get in or not.

good luck, tulsadem! au revoire! :)

what? why wont they email everyone? well, im an american applying from out of country... should i expect a fedex email like all the other international students? or do i wait like you guys since im US citizen applying from an American School abroad

titan~ have you heard anything? financial award online?

i still haven't received an email or letter...hmm

nothing at all, i didnt apply fin aid tho.. no scholarship either tho..

titan-my son also same as you ,us citizen living abroad , got email (last thursday) and they have fedexed packaged-he got email telling him package is on the way-accepted with merit scholarship

i talked to the admissions office via phone a few days ago, and they said not to worry if you haven't received any notification yet. it's coming out in waves.

dumbledore,

Wait a minute! Are you saying you actually picked up the phone and called someone with first-hand knowledge of the situation instead of relying on a collection of rumors, speculation, and opinions from a bunch of stressed out teenagers and their vicariously stressed out parents?

What a novel idea!

Dumbledore that makes me feel so much better! I still haven't gotten anything :(! Anyone hear from PA? Can I assume that these waves would rejections and acceptances?

I Have Told Everyone That I Respond To, To Call The S-c-h-o-o-l!!!!!
:):):):):):)

yes, i called the school too and that many emails were not sent to students due to differing e-mails from the application vs. financial aid forms (parent emails?) and that they were sending them in waves...they said not to be concerned until after April 1st.

So I got the acceptance package but it doesnt tell me anything about financial aid
Should I cry now?
