no, i just want to know the latest date i can hear since i applied to early

Accepted! Who on here is seriously considering OSU? They are probably my #2 right now...maybe #1.

yesum: whats your stats and when did you apply?

I applied early October.

30 ACT. 20/260 class rank. solid extra curriculars.

ambiguity-

Sorry it took so long to get back to you! It's been finals week here- kind of crazy.

I live in Lincoln Tower this year. I'm in honors, and Taylor was originally my first choice, but after visiting at orientation I changed it to Lincoln. In my suite, there is a quad of freshmen and three doubles of sophomores. We share a common room and a bathroom with two showers, four sinks, and three stalls. I'm really glad I chose it- I love all the people in my suite, and having this many people makes it more social. I've gotten to know everyone else's friends, and there's always someone to talk to in the common room, but it's easy to go into your study room or bedroom to be alone. I have a friend in Taylor on north campus, and those rooms just seem much smaller and cramped to me. Lincoln is maybe a little farther away from things in general, but its nice and close to the RPAC and there's a two dining facilities (PAD for pizza and Fresh Express for salads, sandwiches, hot entrees, burritos, soup, etc.) right out the door.

Thanks kelspianogirl, Lincoln is currently at the top of my list for dorm options, and although I fear being one of those freshmen stuck in a quad, you make it sound bearable.

Yesum, I will be attending OSU in the fall, I never seriously considered any other school. Anyone else definitely going?

I applied November 2nd but my status is still evaluation. I have 2100 SATS, 32 ACTS, National Merit Semifinalist, but about a 3.3 GPA. I just got rejected from U of Illinois and I'm somewhat shocked honestly. I applied as a business major to both. Should I be worried I haven't heard back yet or should I relax?

Accepted.

4.3w gpa
32 ACT
1/339
OOS

I'm pretty sure I want to go to OSU and I hope to apply for housing in Lincoln. I really liked how it sounded on the website. But I'm still waiting to hear back from U of Illinois.

Zak- your GPA is low for OSU standards, but I can't imagine why your 32 ACT wouldn't make up for that. I have the same ACT, applied in mid November to the business college, and have already been accepted, so although I don't think you should be overly worried, I hope OSU isn't your safety.

Applied: oct27
Accepted: nov25

GPA: 92.2/100, which is approx. 3.6(ish) on a 4 point scale, i think..
Class Rank: top 22%
SATS: 1920
out of state
Intended Major: International Business

How I found out: First, a senior student at OSU called me, and congratulated me. After she told me about scholarships and scholar programs, etc., an email came. A few days later, an official letter came in the mail.

I'm not sure if I want to go to OSU, but it's one of my top 3 choices.

Ambiguity - My safeties are the honors colleges at Arizona and Arizona State (In state for me and both have offered full ride scholarships). I'd preferably go OOS though. I have been contacted by OSU about 3 times by phone which I assume would mean they are actually interested in me rather than it simply being a random occurrence. The girls I talked to all said with my stats I should be able to get into the honors college at OSU based on being a NMSF. It is just bothering me that I haven't heard anything yet.

Zak- the full ride offers are great, congratulations. I hadn't realized that you were OOS. Perhaps that has something to do with the wait for an acceptance letter? Vivired, also OOS, just posted her acceptance, so perhaps yours will come shortly. Is OSU your first choice?

Ambiguity- I really was worried (panicked, actually) about the quad situation, but we ALL agree that it really isn't bad at ALL. I don't even know what the people in a double do with all that space! I have a ridiculous amount of clothes and took them all, sure that I would have to send some back with my parents, but they all fit and I've had room to go shopping too. Plus, all four of us are RARELY there at the same time, so it doesn't even feel that crowded.

Excellent, Kelspianogirl, you are utterly reassuring.

My D received her acceptance last night!
A student called to inform her that she got in!!!
We are beyond thrilled!!! OSU is her first choice school.

She has a 3.6 avg.
OOS (NY)
25 ACT
1630/2400 SAT
Lots on honors classes/1 AP class/3 college level courses
Lots of community service
Several clubs
French National Honor Society

Whoo hoo!!!

Accepted!

Got the call tonight from a student in the business and economics program (my major). He said their website isn't working properly for those of you checking the page twice a day like I was. He also said my acceptance letter was sent out and I should receive the scholarship offers within a few weeks.

For those interested:

3.3 GPA
OOS (AZ)
No class rank (very competitive public high school so they think it would work against us to have rankings, at least that is the only reasoning I've heard)
32 ACT
2100 SAT
4 AP's
Not a lot of EC's except having a job for a year and a half and 2 years of varsity soccer

I feel a lot better now, even if I don't end up going.

32 ACT
First in my class-4.0 GPA
Taken all the honors classes we have
Taken 23 credits of college courses
Out of state
