NYerLI- You should definitely call the school and see whats going on. I sent my application in mid November and got my acceptance at the beginning of January. My online portal still has not been updated though, it still says “a decision should be made shortly”.

redrockets55- Yeah I will soon I think. I know a few other kids in my school who didn’t hear back who applied around the same time though so I’m not too worried. If I don’t hear by the end of the week I’ll give them a call.

I don’t have a letter from SUNY Albany about how to log in and check your app status (I didn’t apply until 1/1). Do they come in mail or email? Thanks for any info.

Snail mail letter includes an Albany ID which allows you to check the status of your application electronically. D’s letter arrived about 2 1/2 weeks after she applied but that was mid-December.

Update- I’m in =D

Congrats NYerLI!!! Did you call or get a letter in the mail?

I’ve made honor roll 5 times and high honors 3. I went to Boston Architectural College for a summer academy, and went to a secondary high school for 4 years and have a 3.5 GPA from there.

Imma, many schools (i.e. state schoools) only look at math and verbal … check school’s admissions web page or google it

yankeefan4255, Congrats!

Why UBuff over UAlb? Legacy(parents alum) only reason?
Did you get accepted into UAlbany HONORS?
Did you apply to UBing ? thx

Well even though I got 6K, I like UB a lot more. For years, it’s been THE school I’ve wanted to go to…and my parents being alma mater helps that tradition too haha. Also, UAlbany’s campus was…baad. I just hated it. I want both a modern and an old style campus…with old buildings and the traditional trees and blah blah…and UB has both North Campus and South campus which are just beautiful.

I didn’t even consider UBing because I thought it would be too hard to get accepted. I applied to Umass, but as of now I’m deffered to regular admissions…so If I wouldn’t of have gotten into Umass, UBing is totally out of the way I think. UB and Umass are very comparable schools in my opinion…and maybe I should have waited for a letter from Umass…but UB is just the school (even if it is 9 hours away from me haha)

But thanks for the question. I’m very happy with my decision and am very excited for UB!!
