Congratulations!!!! My daughter's account still shows no decision, she applied EA but her GPA/SAT are under average so a denial won't be a shock.

congrats. how did you get that thread?? my girlfriend just checked and it said that the page was inactive. but then we used your link and it said she was accepted for spring 2010.
thanks for the link.

Thanks for the link DiN009 - I was trying to pull up the link to no avail from my history this morning! My daughter received the same acceptance message with honor invite but without mention of Gemstone. Congratulations DiN009.

Dplay, look to see the invite...it might be honors (it should say which honors program, Honors, Gemstone, Scholars)

Gemstone is for people that said that they wanted to work in groups. If you answered No, then you won't get Gemstone., but probably get Scholars. or the "true honors"

Dino check out Denton, that will be your dorm...luckily the dining hall is right there.

Also make sure to check out orientation schedule, you will not go with everybody, just Gemstone. You also get to move in earlier than people who did not get accepted to the program.

The only other thing I can say is tell the folks that they will need to always do a red load of laundry when you come home!

Honors, Gemstone, Scholars all have different links on the web. If you stated you do not want to work as a group on a project you are automatically out of Gemstone. Scholars, Gemstone and Honors are programs that you will be dormed with other people in the program. WHen you selected what you wanted to major in, that decision played a part in your program that you were selected for
