Just got the email, checked online, and I've been accepted :)
It's nice to know, just in case I don't get into UVA. It was my backup, but not really a safety.
Hope everyone who really wanted it got in!

(RD, in state btw)

REJECTED :(
was my first choice

i'm sorry :(

Hey, you're in the same boat as me. If I don't get into UVA, this is my 2nd choice.

Accepted as well.

accepted as well...now just waiting for UVA!

Daughter is IN!!!!! Waitlisted at William and Mary and University of Richmond. JMU may just be the place for her.

Daughter accepted tonight. Art Education with submitted portfolio. Letter said 21,200+ applicants and only 3960 admitteds. This school keeps getting tougher to get into.

okay. so. does anyone think that it's a bit...telling?...that the admission letter online has a typo in it?

...just sayin

paragraph5: "Your will receive a Tuition Deposit Invoice with the original acceptance letter mailed to your home address."

but i guess admit-letter-writers are people too lol

Geez, that was a good catch. I reread the thing four times and never saw it.

Just got in, seriously considering it because of that enticing tuition figure. Didn't catch that typo either lol but we're all human.

Sorry you didn't get in, Gosefroba. Keep your chin up. Things have a way of working out in the end. Many years ago when I was a HS senior, and I didn't get into my first choice of colleges, I sat on my front steps and cried. I only had one college option and was "forced" to go there. (My mother said give it a shot for at least one semester.) I wound up having the best years of my life at that "safety" school. Hang in there.

^ wise words.

My daughter got into JMU last night. Early on it was a school she didn't even want to apply to, but given that her dad (me) is an alumni I made her apply. She is still waiting on UVA, but has already decided that she wants to go to JMU. Just more proof that sometimes your parents know of what they speak. :-) Now we just wait on the Honors Program notification.

Good luck to those still waiting to hear.
