accepted

I was accepted on 12/1/09. Any other people here gain admission to UO?

what are your stats? And yes, others have been accepted - check out other threads.

when do they send out letters to people who apply regular decision and do not meet the automatic admission standards? i sent in my application and sat scores last week, can’t wait to hear back.

From what I understand, its possible you may not hear until March or April - they accept the automatic admits first and then start to look at the rest.

My daughter was accepted on 12/1 as well. Got her official letter a couple days later. We are OOS California. Go Ducks!

What does referred to scholastic review mean?

Congratulations, gaychia!

Stargirl, I’m not sure what that means. There is a Scholastic Review committee, but it deals with current students as far as I understand, not applicants. So that phrase is probably being used in a more generic sense. It sounds like it means the applicant is on the cusp somehow – not a clear thumbs up or thumbs down, and that they want to give it more consideration… I mean, I don’t really know, but that’s sort of what it sounds like.

ok thanks!

I just got accepted today!!! I’m OOS and from California with a 3.34 weighted GPA and 1180/1950 SAT. I wasn’t expecting to get in so fast because I just barely miss the automatic admission requirements, so I’m very happy.

Way to go leila! You’ll love it. Get your dorm room reserved right away if you haven’t already. Congrats.

congrats. when did you apply?

I was accepted 3.17 uw/41 w and 20 act

congrats on getting accepted! Initially my daughter wanted to wait and see where else she gained acceptance…but there weren’t many placed she preferred to Oregon. So…yesterday she came to me and said she just wanted to accept so we completed the intent to register, paid our fee and now she is officially a Duck! The stress level in our house has noticeably decreased, like air out of a balloon.

That’s a nice feeling!

hi im new here ^^ does anyone know if the automatic admissions apply for all the schools in university of oregon? like even the architecture school?

I don’t believe they do, monsi516. The automatic admissions is for UO generally. After that you apply to a particular school, if applicable.

oh… so is it possible to still get into UO but not into the architecture program?

Yes. First you apply to UO, and then you apply to the Dept. of Architecture. All application materials are due by January 15th. Read this page carefully, it will tell you how to proceed:

[UO Department of Architecture - Undergraduate Applicant Categories](http://architecture.uoregon.edu/index.cfm?mode=admission&page=undergrad)

Does anyone know if U of O acceptances include merit money, or if that comes later after FAFSA etc.? My S was accepted, but we’re OOS and hoping he’ll get $$.

It will probably come later. My daughter got letter with a merit aid award on May 1st. Not saying that’s when they’re all sent out, but my guess is most will be late March through April.
