Chris

Congrats stefcio!

I can’t wait to see the campus again as an accepted student.

stefcio, when did you apply?

Thanks, mjbarney.

My application was submitted around November 26th and my credentials were mailed I think by the second week of December.

I thought they didn’t start notifying until 2/1?

I know that I am borderline so I will hear last but I wasn’t expecting to find out until 2/15.

Awesome guys u know when univs like univ of Minnesota cornell rice cooper union start mailing the decisions??

Again. It DOES NOT MATTER WHEN YOU APPLIED. (Unless you applied extremely recently, like yesterday. Then you’re going to wait.)

ansrox - You’re definitely in the wrong forum for that question.

Chris

What changes on SOLAR?

A new students tab appeared with a tab to make deposits…two days later my acceptance arrived in the mail.

Can anyone tell me what tabs they do have, accepted or not? Because I previously took a class at Stony Brook, so my SOLAR has basic info for current students -_-

Accepted! Received my letter in the mail today.

Stats:
SAT- 800M 750CR 710 W
SATII Bio(E)730 MII800
90.4 UW GPA

Thought I had a nice essay & out-of-the-box extracurriculars.

Vlezquez - with those stats, I doubt your essay or extracirriculars mattered!

My daughter accepted today! We are Coloradans and only saw campus this summer without the official tours - poor timing. What specifically do you love about SB? Are you an easterner?

A tip to you new freshmen, when you get to fill out the New Student Preferences form(or one of the forms you have to fill out), theres this great “select your interests” or something page with like 6 categories and you rate them. Yeah…replace the word interests mentally with the word Quad and you get one of the factors in how they place you in housing.

Congrats everyone on the acceptances! I applied for Stony Brook (Honors College) and still haven’t heard from them =/
hope I hear from them soon.

Got my letter today. Still waiting on the Honors College, is it true we find out around the end of March? I’m so excited, my best friend goes to SBU, so now I have an excuse to go visit her & see the campus. :)

I can’t decide if I want to go to Stony Brook yet. It looks gorgeous and it’s not too far from my Grandparents. The academics seem wonderful too. It’s only late Jan, early Feb, I still have time to decide :)

What are your stats?

WHOO HOO! First official college acceptance!
I did the priority app. I just found out online. We put our mail on hold the past few days cause we were out of town, so hopefully my letter will get here soon. :)
