I logged into my myRIT account just a few minutes ago because I was bored. I then saw this message:
"Congratulations! You've been accepted into the Software Engineering program. "
I'm guessing this means I've been accepted into the school. Yay! Anyone else have a message like that?

My son got that also/

Did you also apply through the myRIT portal? or did either use common application?

My daughter applied common app, the message appeared on her portal on Tuesday, she got her acceptance packet yesterday.

We did Common App. Haven’t received anything in the mail yet.

Did any scholarship info come with acceptance packet?

I just received my acceptance packet in the mail today, and there wasn’t any financial aid or scholarship information included. I wonder when we hear from them about that…

Last year, it was about March 6 to 16 range, if I remember correctly.

Thanks - they need to gives us big $$ to beat out other schools.

It’s one of my D’s top choices, and according to their scholarship chart, she’s going to be eligible for merit money. But the amount looks less generous than some that her other schools have offered. We’ll see…

I agree Tubamom - looks like the most they give is 15K. I don;t think it;s going to be enough.

I emailed today and they said the send Financial Aid info out next week.

Got Scholarship letter today

Congrats!!! can you share what it was? My student accepted, and still waiting to hear on scholarship.

Thanks!

He got 13K Presidential I think it was.

Much as he liked RIT I don’t think it is where he is going. Doesn;t want to come out of school with that much in loans.

I received the Pres. Scholarship, too. I was surprised I got it! It makes me really consider enrolling now. I’m going to their open house in March.

DS was accepted via letter 2/20 and offered a $6k/yr scholarship by separate letter on 2/24. He’s been accepted to his #2 school (WPI) with like money, so it’s not likely he’ll attend RIT, but acceptance at those two somehow gives us hope for acceptance at his #1 RPI. Anyone else apply to those schools too?

My son wants more of a city school so he didn’t apply to RPI or WPI.

I am pretty certain he is going to end up at Univ of Pittsburgh - they gave him full tuition, he loves the school and the city, and he is in the honors college.

We are going there again in March for Honors day and to visit the Comp Sci department and meet with the dept head.

He loved the facilities at RIT but Pitt wins in all other depts, we’ll see how their Comp Sci facilities match up next month

I applied to RPI. I haven’t heard from them yet.

I was accepted into RIT with 12k pres. scholarship. Still waiting for RPI as well lol which is also my #1. Hopefully my medal award will help my chances of acceptance.

Got accepted to RIT for Fall 2011 today. No merit award mentioned. Anyone else??

Accepted but no scholarship.
Will not attend without one.
