@fadeawade
yeah i’m in olin

congratz just found out I got into olin too. took me 30 min to find my password.

congrats to you too!! (:
finally have a school that i’ll be happy to go to secured down

Yyyyyes!!! I GOT IN!!! Olin School and College of Arts & Sciences…I mean I wasn’t so sure about Olin, it’s always more competitive there, right?! Gosh, I can’t believe this…WashU’s one of my reaches…!

Congrats, everyone! Mind if anyone starts off a new thread so we can, you know, introduce ourselves a bit?

Accepted here as well! WashU is not my top choice but I’m still happy to know that I’m not going to UT Austin (which is a good school; just too big for me). Congrats to everyone else who got in.

BTW, isn’t it pretty early for colleges to be sending out admissions letters? Or is mid-March typical?

this is early-ish.
and i think washU just unexpectedly sent theirs out early because theirs was supposed be out April 1st like normal schools.

Congrats to all.
I remember coming on here every day for two weeks checking and checking.
And today we found out our results. :)

Not my top top choice but definitely up there. It just feels so GOOD to be accepted! My first legit private acceptance!

Anyone feel like making a facebook group? I’d gladly join and meet new people :)

^ There already is a facebook group. It has like 400 people. search “Washington University in St. Louis Class of 2014”

Congratulations you guys!!! Get excited!

^^ilovepandapanda and cosine: Those who have been haunting the WashU thread regarding decisions know that for the last three years, decisions have come out on the Wednesday of this week in March (9/10/11th). It’s not early for WashU – It’s what they do. Congrats to you both!

PS. My son was accepted but likely will go to UT because of the quality of his specific program (and money will play a part as well, I’m sure, in the end). Four more schools to hear from though, so we will see.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!

Congrats to all. My D was also accepted! We will wait for the financial aid letter but I fear that it will put Wash U out of the running. She has been accepted with great offers to some other schools that will come in at far less $$.

Got my acceptance packet in the mail today - that was really fast!

Wow, I didn’t realize that they will pay for your plane ticket to visit…definitely taking advantage of that xD

Yup, I just registered for Multicultural Weekend. I hope they don’t choose bad flights, but either way I can’t complain! For Diversity Weekend my flight left at 7:00 am. I had to get on the bus at 4:30 in the morning… my god.

Pandora, will they pay for any weekend? Or are you talking about the Multicultural one?

Nope, I’m not in the multicultural thing, there was just a page in my packet that said they’d cover airfare I dont think that includes hotels, though

Our son, now a freshman, was admitted under ED last year and was invited out to an admitted student reception for Olin. His airfare and arrangements were handled by WashU and he stayed with a student. It was a great experience and a chance to meet up with others who were admitted/would be attending.

Wow. Thanks. I haven’t gotten mine yet but did receive multicultural online except I can’t go.
I thought (if they covered it) I would go later with a parent.
Is there a deadline for requesting that?

Pandora, Is your accepted pkt a postal package or from ups/fedex?

UPS express envelope ^^

Congrats to you all! I can’t wait to apply in the future! A bit envious of those who got their acceptance letters ;)
