(srsly though how could they reject all of us?? ***??)

^got into USC yesterday too!

and i know, right, how could everyone here who has been so loyal to this thread be rejected? lol.

i know!! weve been here for months waiting for drexel! =[
PM me about usc, referee!!!

i got rejected from drexel/ducom too but have an interview for rosemont/drexel tomorrow any advice?

ooooooooh. congrats!

Got accepted to Drexel last night! :)

Thanks referee.

Had the Rosemont/DUCOM interview today. There were interviews for students for the lehigh/drexel, villanova/drexel, and rosemont/drexel program. Overall, I’d say it went well. There was a presentation by the Dean Dr. Parrish with an overview of the programs. He said there was a 1 in 5 dropout rate from the program (ducom’s 7 yr ones). He also said that they screened the applications more stringently this year (before interviews) so they would interview less kids. Last year they interviewed about 200 just for drexel/drexel. This year he said that they are interviewing 170 total including all their programs. That’s why so many of us (including me) got rejected from drexel/drexel. Therefore he said the acceptance rate for kids with an interview was going to be really high around 70-75%. He said they accepted 75 kids last year and only 25 came to drexel/drexel. Just some clarification for you guys, hope it helps. personally, I rather get rejected now rather than after an interview (interview would get my hopes up).

vbhasin1 - Thanks for the update … the information is valuable … and good luck to you … hope one of these programs works out for you

i am not sure if applicants from monmouth or muhlenberg have been invited or considered in the 170 you are talking about?

I got accepted too… deans scholarship, and Honors College! i am really excited but its a lot of money but i was wondering, do you think drexel is worth such a huge investment???

I talked to him after and that’s when he mentioned it, drexelfreak. Someone asked him about the admission rate following interviews and then he came out with all this information.

Also, the interviews were for those programs, but since you got an interview for drexel/drexel too it counts for both. The drexel/drexel interview day for people who only applied to that one is later I think two saturdays from now.

wow!! dta really great thanks for the info, i am an international student and i was already reconsidering because of the cost! This info is really helpful! Thank you again!

Ok Drexel’s Scholarship Awards are really confusing, i dont understand what the criteria seems to be because it doesnt seem to be merit!

WOW 70-75%! awesome!, yeah i only applied to drexel-drexel. 2 saturdays from today. its my only interview so far =/.

Halima I would also like to know how they choose scholarship candidates. I was recently accepted with the deans scholarship and honors college although I have never visited the school and do not consider myself a very competitive candidate.

Could I please ask for your SAT’s and GPA? We are still waiting…

@socccerr, ehm i really dunno, and its confusing maybe you had great extracurriculars! If you dont mind my asking what was your SAT score???
@nvamom, my SAT score was 1940; 630-cr; 640-w; 670-m… gpa 3.76 unweighted

I was told by a woman in the OFA at Drexel that
Drexel tends to offer more money to engineering majors bc tuition is higher for them.
COE: $56000 - $21000 scholarship
COA: $52000 - $17000

Still pretty much works out to be the same. Drexel is a rip-off. Rated the ugliest campus/ women in the U.S.A. Significant lack of majors offered. No single rooms. Infrastructure in a desperate state. Only good qualites are that it is located in Philly and has the beautiful Millenium Hall.
Co-ops are terrible: not only do you lose summers/academic year but they jobs you applied for are not guranteed. You could apply for a research position and end up washing dishers at XXX grill.
